SOLVED: Need help with display/screen fill/position
« on: January 27, 2019, 12:04:03 AM »
Hi

I'm trying to recover from a HDD failure on one of my two bartop games.
The original installation was running 1.60 and now I have version 2.51.
I'm running LinuxMint 17,  same version as earlier but with the latest updates.
Display is rotated clockwise in Linux( i'm not sure I did this the last time)

I'm 90% back,  it starts and plays but the display is not filling the screen any longer and the games are "off-set" to the right.

I have attached 2 images.

Any ideas?

Looks like MAME has an issue. This will likely be resolved in your /mame/mame.ini file (or through the mame gui). If your resolution/aspect ratio/etc has changed you will need to adjust it somewhere to correct for it.

SOLVED

1. Don't rotate the display in Linux
2. Pick a "vertical" layout/theme
3. Rotate the games in MAME
4. Run in "Full Screen"

:-)
