Title: Big Problem without solution - Attract mode freezes in main menu
Post by: drnachete on April 20, 2018, 03:36:04 PM: Attract mode las version (64bit) & builts freezes when changing menu and 100% CPU, I can not find solution PC- i5 3.0Ghz 4gb ram ssd256 nvidia 630 graphics card.

Problem testing in Windows 10 & windows 7

I discovered that deactivating the flyer, marquee and snap no longer freeze or put the CPU to 100%,
what solution do you think for, the nvidia drivers are the latest version?

Those are components of a particular theme. Always try a different theme first. Your issue with theme resources eating cpu could be related to video drivers. Update to the latest for your video card and try it again. I had an HD4350 that barely ran attract on default drivers. Downloaded the latest and bam!

Post by: Dread000 on April 22, 2018, 01:23:02 PM: I have found if u have a corrupt file or a file conflict as like name or file type the front end loops searching and overloads resources.
You might want to check for troubles like this and win 10 could be partial Culperate.

Post by: drnachete on April 22, 2018, 03:48:44 PM: I have renamed the menu_art folder and I have not frozen the displays menu, but the submenu(arcade.handles,consoles..etc) that catches the arts of the roms is still freezing...

Most people probably use software decoding with Windows since it was the only option until 6 months ago. Uhmm. I don't understand. What exactly did you do to solve the 100% cpu usage? Just install windows? What's the "full drivers pack"?
