Hi.
I have made a mix of arcadebliss and newstations layouts ( i dont know much about code), in case anyone wants use it.
Its to 1920p and i use a steam banner as marquee.

Here is my final update. I have just fix some things, fade videos (Thanks bundangdon), add color per each screen and favorite icons. That's all.

I'm loving this theme, and I'm using it as my main!
I would suggest some improvements and report some bugs.
Improvements:
For consoles like snes, that uses boxart instead of flyers should be good not have the border of the flyer, and should change the aspect ratio according to the image size, changing only by percentage.
Also, It would be awesome if you put, via an option from the menu a select for a dark theme.
BUGS:
BUG1: Sometimes when chosen for the background to be a video instead of the marquee, the sound is doubled.
BUG2: every time I leave a game, the selection menu is completely white, and I have to leave and enter the Attract mode to return, or switch to another theme of the page and return.
Other than that, it's perfect! I would love a new update with improvements and bug fixes!

Can you provide the PSD on the images of emulators, so I can create for some systems that use as CAPCOM, Mega Drive, NES, Neo Geo, Master System, etc?

Sorry Spinelli, about the bug2, i dont know where is the problem (its works for me). Check the emulator options.
About optional boxart or scale the layout, lately i dont have much free time or knowledge xd, to make it. But if someone wants, it would be fantastic.

I also use the first version of this theme as main (congrats t00m for the amazing work) and found a possible fix for BUG2 that I had too. I discovered it by chance after testing one emulator that changed the resolution of the frontend everytime I exited a game. So I enabled the ResFix plugin and that fixed both problems. No more resolution change and no more completely white selection menu after leaving a game. Hope this helps.

This is a pretty neat theme! I like its simplicity :) But I made some changes to the flyer part of the layout and whenever there's missing artwork, I get this gray box on the bottom right of the screen. Any idea on how I can remove that?
Never mind! I figured it out. Just needed to remove the "flyer.png" file from the layout directory :)

Is the "Horizontal Navigation" bugged? When i press up/down nothing happens and my left/right still changes between systems.

Awesome work. Now, im doing a new main menu using the new freature. Im trying add a text showing the listsize per each emulator, but I can not figure out how.If anyone knows how to do it, it would be great.

Im attempting to use it on raspberry pi 3.
Stock, it didnt really change games at all.
overclocked it to 1.3ghz and set the gpu ram split to 512. and its semi working..
Not sure if its the image sizes or what. im tinkering around more to see what might be.

The problem is that the layout consumes a lot of ram, testing it on Windows 7, it takes about 230mb of RAM, when other takes only 90mb. I made some changes to the code, shrink some images but it still uses without animations about 98MB, with animations about 130mb, but the main problem is the orbit games, it adds another 100mb it self.
I'll try to make it lighter but i dont if it's possible; i've just re order the code a bit, and split it into some class files to make it easier to read; will notice u if i found something.

A little update; the overall layout consumes around 221mb of RAM and my CPU loads at 25%, I'm on my notebook with an Intel Core I5 3340 2.7Ghz and 8GB of Ram. I made some changes, the Clock tick, mades the CPU load to 25%, i take it off and now is around 4%; the top banner animation also adds around 6mb to ram, every time u add a surface depending on the size it adds on large resolutions about 10mb to ram, here the overlaymenu uses a lot of surfaces so it adds around 25mb... The Orbit animation which the game wheel uses takes about 95mb RAM. If u check the theme Orbit which has a similar wheel loads 98MB when a simpler theme only loads 45mb.
So i add an option to stop the banner animation, and redo some code to remove vars declarations and extra surfaces. Without the game orbit and the overlaymenu, now i've, depending on the banner image size, 51Mb of RAM usage and about 7% of CPU. Will advice u when finish to test it.

Very beautiful the theme.
I only report a bug when it comes back to the theme screen it gets all white.
To return to normal you should move to the next system and back.

Yep, i'm making some changes now to correct this, and let the layout define how many "flyers" will show taking into account the screen width. I also removed the surfaces it uses and change them to artworks; and found that some vids makes AM to use 25% of the cpu, dont know why; i also reduce the RAM consumption to about 115MB with a list of 60 games and showing about 12 games per screen; now i'm going to the beach for 2 weeks (I'm from Argentina), will post some updates on my return.

You have to download the 3D BoxArts somewhere. Try to find it at emumovies.com, got some 3D SNES box from there.

I use my own custom psd box art (i can share it if you wanna). But as Squilenator said you can find 3d boxarts at emumovies or hyperspin website.

Sorry for the absence, i've been a bit busy. I've made some changes to the original layout, cant make a big improvement but...
- I made it scale on the screen resolution, i test it on 16:9 resolutions, i dont have a 4:3 monitor to test it.
- Remove some innecesary code, split the code into differents "classes"; i create differents files for the top, middle, bottom sections and also for the satellites and Items classes. In order to make it easier to read.
- Remove some animations, move all the the transitions to only one function.
- Remove all the surfaces and make it work just with images(surfaces consume more RAM).
- The video snaps has some problems, if u use .mp4 files the rendering process is done by the CPU, in order to make it lighter i convert them to Xvid (theres a post here about that), ant it reduce the CPU usage from 25% to 5%.
- Change a bit the menu Overlay.
- Make some changes to the horizontal navigation function, to make it work and also support holding the key pressed.
Theres still a "bug", the large animated background makes the orbit animation not to be smooth; changing it to a simple image cause the same effect so i assume is something related with the resolution.
Depending on the quantity of roms, images and vids size, it consume now about 115mb of RAM and 5% of CPU for about a list of 70 ROMS, a bit less if u choose none favorite icon on the layout options.
Use it, test it, and feel free to report errors.

Heres the new version with the carrier module, i modified it a just a bit; as described in Oomek post is necessary to get the lastest version of AttractMode to make it run.

Added some User Options to select which Animation Module use, Conveyor or Carrier... Theres still a bug with conveyor that doesnt align the items when u choose to have less items than the screen width, still working on that.

The theme is disproportionate to the screen, because it is larger than the screen, maybe it is some error in the theme.

Check the latests posts, i've uploaded a modified version of the original Layout which scales to the current screen resolution. I only update the original layout which is the one i use the other alternatives are static, so if u want them to scale you'll have to modify them.
I dont know if the owner of this layout is currently working on it.
The system logo probably doesnt appear because it has a switch statement which compares the emulator name, with some hardcode strings, try to modify your emulator name on the config or the layout file to match the one u have.
Also try the layout config gameFrame="NO", that wil hide the items frame, with your 3D case images i think will look nicer without them.

Hi man, i was a bit bussy, but yes probably thats because the entire layout was designed for a 16:9 resolution, so when i upscale it to 4:3 resolutions it'll probably looks stretched, i'll try to change the method used for the scale, perhaps instead of resizing the image it'll be better to work with the percentage of scren occupied by the images and scale that percentage, just a thinking.
The problem with that are the static images, but let me see what i can i do.

very excited to try, i just made a custom mount to put a 27inch component input CRT in my arcade (used to be 25" composite) got my retrotink and am determined to get a nice looking attract mode setup in 240p will test diligently.. should i compare this with your other release or just test this one and report back on comments / questions / bugs?

Hi man, thanks for your help...basically its the same as the older release.
Just change the background, instead of beeing separete full images its now a 1px PNG. The other functionalities are the same.
The 4x3 theme is the same, just make new images to the video frame and title info, and also change some percentages on the games wheel height.
Im trying to figure out how to mane it fit well on just 1 theme for both res but dont have to much time to investigate, thats why i create a new one, just to use it till i could fix the other one.
Also has some pending features, like adapt the second theme that the original designer did, try to add a nicer systems menu with pictures and some info of each one, and also add some game descrption feature. But i dont want to make it more heavier to, now it consumes about 100mb of ram for a gamelist of 80 roms.

Hi I ay trying to make a layout for the C64 but I want it like the C64 Mini layout and this is the closes layout I can see,With the Wheel flyers at the bottom.

You can try this mod. It solves that issue, favorites tag getting behind art and others when using the Carrier option inside theme options with AM 2.5.1.
If you want to use horizontal navigation, this mod can also solve other possible issues like the video snaps bug when using fast scroll mode if you use these specific settings in attract.cfg:
In input_map section, at the bottom:
default up
default down
default left prev_game
default right next_game
Then this specific theme/layout options:
layout_config AnimatedWheel_mod
param animationModule CARRIER
param favIcon FAVORITE
param gameFrame YES
param gameListQ AUTO

Glad to hear that is working. :) It's one of my favorite themes so I tried to make it working with new version of AM.
Sometimes video snaps can have issues depending of their technical specs. For example HQ snaps from EmuMovies are usually 60fps and some themes or frontends can have problems with them.
Are you using AM public stable release or a daily one? In the images folder of the layout there are the images of the systems, in some it is correctly seen in others not. That happens because this theme/layout need for us to add and edit things in the code on a specific file regarding this. The version I uploaded before already had extra systems not included in the original. ;)
This is how you do it:
So the system logos and other images related must be in this folder inside the theme: ..\images\emulator
The code you need to edit (using notepad++ for example) is located in this file inside the theme: ..\_class\Functions.nut
Look for the code starting in line 30 and the first system example (Arcade) that starts at line 36
case "Arcade":
::MID_OBJECTS.sysLogo.file_name = "images/emulator/Arcade.png";
::MID_OBJECTS.sysLight.file_name = "images/emulator/Arcade_light.png";
::TOP_OBJECTS.gameInfoLight.file_name = "images/emulator/Arcade_light2.png";

I did a recent modification to fix some things for new AM versions but there's still a small bug, at least, with scrolling arrows getting behind boxart after scrolling a little.

one thing that i notice, is that very not right is that when you scroll left to right is that
the middle highlighted game kind of snaps to the larger highlighted game instead of scaling in to it smooth,,
hope that makes sence.. im going to need to fix that.. for shure
but as overall, good stuff thanks..

A menu system would not hurt this layout. I think the original user uploaded a photo on page three of what he was doing.

Hi, sorry for the long time not updating this. I'm currently working on the game transition effect, trying to make oit smoother and only start when you hit the outter games.
