Why Attract Mode doesn't update gamesdb.net ?

dbgames.net API is current down, however a READONLY version is still available by adding V1 on the endpoint.
Example:

https://api.thegamesdb.net/v1/Platforms?apikey=035b376cf5769eca89325626f698702fb72bff15ef5d0451e1859bb7b6b854be

Why don't release an AM version with the new updated URL ?

Even better could be to support an external configuration file in order to make URLs editable.
