General / Re: AM on retropie not showing command line menus
« on: December 21, 2017, 11:27:08 PM »
Ty, but I don't know why that wouldn't be set already.. unless I had to change it for portrait mode? I don't remember and I broke something beyond repair in the mean time so will have to check the next go round
Some config change made it stop loading roms, but uninstalling and reinstalling, from source, still had the same settings and missing emulators/displays... dunno wth.

Anyway, I give the f up and am going to try a pre-built image as a base.

General / AM on retropie not showing command line menus
« on: December 21, 2017, 01:59:11 PM »
It doesn't matter what theme or which menu, AM won't "clear" the screen after choosing a retropie or retroarch settings, or more annoyingly, the run command menu when a rom is loading. It looks like it freezes, but the blue ascii menus are behind attract mode.
Ctrl+c then closes AM and the menu you were in.

General / Do history.dat files have versions?
« on: December 18, 2017, 07:05:56 PM »
I was under the impression it was just new and updated info under the same format and mame rom names do not change.
But in setting up, the history plugin generate index is giving "script error" and google searches are giving me nothing for older versions. I believe my mame version is .162 (maybe .159)

Themes / Any recommendations on arcade themes with a spot for info/history?
« on: December 18, 2017, 10:49:04 AM »
I like the blocks of text that show the year/dev and a background block of text, but it seems most don't have that.
Similar to ArcadeBliss - Info Overload but more arcade oriented with cabinets and marquees.
