Does sumatra work with Linux? And according to the I f you were going to do that you would need to find an open-source reader built cross platform. With it being Windows only you are leaving a LOT of people out of the loop.

Great idea though! :D but people only want umm pi(e) right now..which is linux based...

no I mean it great idea!

Well they can do what they want..and some people may want it to look like hyperspin. Hyperspin is a good frontend..but also very resource heavy and stuck on windows. What about MAC or Linux users? And a lot of us use older machines to make our gaming rigs lighter is better. However that being said..

I agree with you as well. But there are many non hyperspin themes available for attract mode.

And on a side note..if you want to gather more attention post this in the themes section..not the general help section  ;)

General / Warning compiling AM 2.3.0 linux
« on: December 10, 2017, 02:07:30 PM »
Okay so after compiling on linux ubuntu based 16.04 I got this warning spit out at me:

/usr/bin/ld: warning:, needed by /usr/lib/gcc/x86_64-linux-gnu/5/../../../x86_64-linux-gnu/, may conflict with

It finished compiling and does run...just curious to know what it means or what it may break. also so others don't have to ask later  :P

need to update my libjpeg-dev?..(which would be strange since I update regularly)

Oh and Attract Mode...Welcome back!  ;D

I want to have both options added in both ES and AM...

What options are you asking about..what options does AM have that ES does not and/or what options does ES that AM doesn't have that you want?

Yes I am confused...  ???

General / Re: Noob: How do I enable Arcade folder in AM?
« on: October 09, 2017, 11:40:43 AM »
You can do that in attractmode as well. You can dump all your roms into the arcade folder and then change the default emulator for each one.

Or you can take your lists and combine them into one list.

1. From the core you are using..I am assuming you are on a PC.
2. mc2programmer is correct this is a retroarch "problem" it has nothing to do with attract mode.
3. Following mc2programmer advice then save configuration for the game..

I believe that will make a config file for the game and load the shader(s) on game launch. However again this needs to be asked on the retroarch forums if you need more help.

Please post your cfg file as it is

and are you on a PC or on a raspberry pi?

it says right there in the little grey box what path it is... (not sure myself)

/dev/shm/  the file is runcommand.log

it can be opened with nano

Emulators / Re: Location of user created emulator config files

So...all I have to do is go into the subdirectory of .attract and edit the romlist?

To a point yes. (/home/pi/.attract/romlists) but first make a copy/backup your original rom list! You can open it in a plain test editor or to keep it clean..and less it up in a spreadsheet program. (it's basically a spreadsheet cvs file anyway) However make sure you save it as a text csv file with ; (semicolon) as the separator so that attract mode can read it.

Well your post says "PC" so I am going with that...

that said I run attract mode on a dual core I have no issues like that and I run from a usb drive. I have no audio problems at all.

Ray Is working on hardware support I am if we could get the mame dev team to do that ( just kidding! :P)

Emulators / Re: Trouble addingSega CD and Sega 32x emulators
« on: July 12, 2017, 09:57:29 AM »
you need bioses for the 32X and sega cd in the /home/pi/bios/ folder

Emulators / Re: Location of user created emulator config files
« on: July 12, 2017, 09:53:43 AM »
user created files are made in the /home/pi/.attract folder..

there are four of the same listing of your sega cd list because you have four file extensions that is found..this happens a lot with cd based games. (ex playstation) you have a cue and five bin files. the cue is to tell how/how to load the bins..the first is the data to load the game..the other is (normally) audio. the cue file something different build your list and then delete the extra games from the list manually and leave the cue file!.

because this is not an "official" image you won't get to much help i'm sure. but I'll see what i can do to help.
