Yes I am well aware of the notes I wrote for my own theme. I'm just looking for a little feedback since I never actually tried it on the b+.

FIRST READ NOTES:

Code: [Select]
A few quick notes:

-Thanks to Davbarc for making the NES Classic Theme this is based off of.

-This theme runs poorly on the rpi3 and I doubt it will do much better on the 3b+, but let me know if it does. I recommend using this theme in attract mode for windows.

-Use the snes-buttons.jpg file as a reference for setting up the controller buttons in attract mode. Shoulder buttons, X and Y can be whatever you want.

-Place the files in the borders folder in retroarch/overlays/borders. You will need to configure a hot key in retroarch if you would like to change them on the fly.

-Keep artwork file sizes small. The ones that get scraped are huge. Use an image resizer to reduce their size.

-Place the files in the sounds folder in yourattractmodefolder/sounds. One is the menu music and the others are navigation sounds. These will need to be setup manually in attract mode.

-This is by no means perfect. I was a total noob when I attempted this project. If you get it working smoother and more accurately, please share with the group.

-Have fun!

I'm sure it could, but I had the same issue. Because of that, I made this: https://youtu.be/W0EP9rSpXmo

Which audio format uses the least amount of cpu and resources on a rpi in attract mode?

Sorry I put this project in the back burner. It runs so poorly on the pi it's not even funny. It does however work well in a pc, but I don't think too many care about that.

Looks amazing! Can I get a link to try this out? I would love to do some testing as well as feature it on my youtube channel.

Thanks,

HH

Looks awesome, good job with it!

One question - How does it function on the pi 3? I see all the others struggled with the game carousel (being sluggy) and bg music was choppy?

Terrible unfortunately, runs well on a pc though.

Looks great!

Is there any functionality behind that 4 dots near the # of players? In original interface those are indicators for 4 save slots - right?

---

And what's "MINI SNAP"?

Sorry, there is no functionality to the dots. Not sure its really possible since saves are handled by the emulator and not am. mini snap is just a miniature in game snapshot inside the flying wing box.

Not sure if anyone is interested, but I've been working on a SNES Classic Theme based off of Davbarc's NES Classic Theme. US version shown below, but I've also done EU and Jap versions. Should release soon, let me know what you think.

Scripting / Display Specific Screensaver
« on: October 16, 2017, 02:47:55 PM »
Does anyone know if its possible to make each display have its own video screensaver? When using a video with screensaver.nut, it shows the same screensaver on every display.
