Me again,

I switched to another frontend to check if my computer is the actual problem and unfortunately it works perfectly fine in GameEx.

I will check further updates!

Further testing... Also in the 32bit version AM will but out. Videos only playing once. Same for the screensaver.

Any recommended codecs? I'm close to give up.

Yes I'm sure. It runs on custom drivers for crt monitors and is connected to the GPU. Also scrolling seems to be fine in 32bit AM.

It's the latest nightly build.

Video card is an ati 4350. Shouldn't be the bottleneck as it was working with AM and the old motherboard perfectly fine.

Motherboard is an msi h81m-p33 with a 4760k cpu.

Videos are mp4 and are actually downloaded with attract mode.

Tried three different codecs. Klite, shark, lav. The fps I will have to check.

Okay had some more time to fiddle and had no success though.

As of now:

Installed chipset drivers, updated windows 7 64bit, installed codecs, installed vlc, installed latest attract, tried different decoder. outcome in attract mode is always the same.

Running the snippets in VLC I can scroll through them super fast. No Problems.

Edit: as of now I had some success with the latest 32 bit release in hardware mode. I'm afraid I'm losing some potential with the 64bit release though.

No success so far. Any other ideas?

Problem shouldn't be related to the graphics card as the same card was fine with the old motherboard.

Thanks for your reply.

Layout was set to basic, no luck.

Drivers a custom crt emu drivers. No problem with them on the old setup though.

Tried both ways of decoding, no luck.

Will try updating direct x and using the latest build.

Hi there,

name is Olli, thanks for this great Frontend, love it very much, but now I'm having problems I can't resolve after reinstalling my system 3 times and trying to find the problem.

So everything was running perfectly fine BUT I wanted to speed up my computer a bit, using a 4760k instead of an old Core2Duo. Everything was fine on the old system, I run Groovy Mame and wanted to make more
use of the Frame Delay feature for less lag, that's why I wanted to update.

So the problems as of now seems to be the Mp4 videos, which run TOTALLY fine on the old system. As soon as I open up AM, I have at least 50% load out. I did a fresh install, everything smooth until I add videos. Tried different settings, codecs, decoders. I'm running out of ideas. Thinking of going back, already lost a lot of time.

So as of now I'm on a super fresh Win7 64 bit SP1 system, nothing installed additionally. I tried different releases of AM with no luck. It tried the Shark codecs which didn't help either. I  thought this would be an easy upgrade

Anyone has any ideas?
