General / MAME not Working with AM

This started with MAMEUI64 a few versions ago.

I run AM and I choose a game. It goes to desktop and creates a transparent window and opens MAME but it doesn't run the game.

I can use the desktop and MAME fine but AM is frozen. Task manager to close MAME and then AM goes back to normal.

I checked my MAME and I check my antivirus. Nothing. All files are not "read only".

Windows 7 Pro x64

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

General / MAMEUI64: Latest version doesn't work with AM

Hello All,

  The latest version of MAMEUI64 (.185) isn't functioning with Attract Mode. I have the latest AM. AM opens and runs fine but when I select a game it opens MAME but it doesn't run any games. It freezes up completely.  MAMEUI64 opens and runs fine on its own.

  On the MAME site there is a disclaimer: "MAMEUI64 may be built from slightly newer source code in the MAME GITHub repo than the mamedev.org release baseline and may not match its machine sets/features/roms."

  Could this version be the problem? I made no changes to AM before using this latest version of MAME. Anyone else having this problem?
