General / Anyway to have rom play an mp4 file?

Hey everyone, odd question here but it is going to serve a purpose.

I added a fake Nintendo Switch emulator to my attract mode. It shows up on the system selection, I even built a custom layout, got boxart, wheel art, and snap videos I made. The purpose of this is so if someone comes over to play my arcade and sees it, that when they click the rom (Breath of the wild for example), I want it to just play a full screen "Rick Roll", since there is no possible emulation on a pi for Switch obviously.

I went into the emulator settings and chose the extension to .mp4, and I placed the rick roll mp4's in the roms folder...but it won't play. Does anyone know how I would get this to work? Like if there is a video player I can add to the pi so it will launch the videos?

Hey,

So, I just installed some new buttons on my arcade for the ability to play pinball games, but the left pinball button and right one are connected to different boards. The left is connected to the player 1 arcade board, and the right to player two. Does anyone know how I can program both to respond on pinball roms as the left and right flipper?

Themes / N64/Reicast Emulators Extremely Loud

Hi everyone,

Newb to the forums and the Retropie in general, but wondering if anyone has figured out why the N64 emulator and the Reicast one are so loud compared to the others in the 128GB version? I have seen a few forums that address it, but none actual tell how to solve it. Like I said, I am a newb so I may be missing something here but any help would be appreciated.

I built my own custom arcade from an old Gauntlet Legends arcade machine I got and am running a Raspberry Pi 3 on it. I have 8 arcade buttons on both player 1 & 2, plus have 2 iBuffalo SNES controllers (configured for SNES and NES roms), and 1 Playstation 1 controller (with the help of a PSX to USB that runs my 1st player PSX roms and Dreamcast roms).

Themes / Missing Wheel Art Randomly

Hey everyone,

First time posting on this site, or on the raspberry pi/retropie in general, but I have an odd issue.

I downloaded a user's GameBoy layout that has the ability to have boxart on it, and my regular Rey's 128GB package didn't for the robospin layout (I hope you are following). The problem I have run into is that when I downloaded and tried to upload all the missing wheel art from EmuMovies, random ones came up blank in the wheel...like, just not there. I checked and the name is dead on for both the snap, boxart, and rom, but for some reason they are all blank.

This list consists of:

Burai Fighter Deluxe
Harvest Moon
Lingo
Mickey;s Chase (USA)
Milon's Secret Castle (USA)
and more.

Any clue how to get them to show up since I do have the PNG files?
