Title: Mednafen error - mednafen.cfg
Post by: punkfungus on January 28, 2022, 07:53:24 PM
Hi, I've an issue with the emulator Mednafen when running with AM.
If I run the emulator with command-line I never get error but after opening a few games with AM I get a Misformatted Setting-value if I erase the mednafen.cfg file it restart ok until it's fail again.
I found out that after a fail the mednafen.cfg file is missing lots of lines. When I erase it I have 22743 lines but when it fail there's less than 18k lines.

I read a post that you put the mednafen.cfg in read-only but it give me an error.

Does anyone have an idea on what's the issue?

Thank you.

I am just having a look at their website, when they have their releases saying the following

Notable changes since 1.28.0-UNSTABLE:

I would not even use the thing, when they are saying that the previous version is unstable, there are better emulators out there to do what you need to do.

Obviously you do not use a Z drive, I mean come on, no one uses a Z drive do they?

If the program is marked as unstable, it could be an emulator problem and not that of AM.

Regards

Mark

Hi 1.29 is not marked as unstable but I tried with version 1.26.1 Stable and still the same error.
Yes I'm using Z drive, it was a copy of my friend Hyperspin never change the letter since then.

Escape is the default short cut key to exit AM, you never set that up.

It is like F12 or something like that, I had that short cut being used on screen recording software I think that it was, but it was changing Am.

Glad you have it sorted
