Individual Bezel Overlays for Systems sharing one Emulator
« on: March 07, 2017, 07:49:51 PM »
Hi there!

I set up my attractmode-RetroPie so far, and like it a lot. I'm that kind of guy who wants everything to look very polished and official, spending hours to find fitting single pieces of artwork or bezel-overlays. Now that I found anything, there is one problem left.

For most systems, it works like a charm to save a core override, to apply the desired shaders and bezels to all games for a certain system. This method fails, when it comes to systems sharing a single emulator. Like GameBoy and GameBoy-Color or MegaDrive, MasterSystem, 32x and SegaCD.

I tried searching the web, but did not find a method to apply a .cfg file to a SYSTEM, or attractmode-display, instead to a core. I am aware of the fact, that attractmode is only the frontend and the cfg is read withing retroarch as the emulator. But perhaps there is a way, to let attractmode choose a certain .cfg when lauching from a certain system?

Thanks in advance!

Retroarch allows per core configs.
