Themes / Default Grid Theme

I wanted to use tge default Grid Theme like this

Is there a way to only keep 12 on screen without it scrolling.
Like I know you can set rows and column amount.

I just want to be able to navigate but when u are far right or down etc. for it not to scroll the images or move them.

There are some nice themes on here. I really like the robospin style. The nevato or like the coin ups style. Where it has the wheel with the cabinet image and the video snap appearing on the screen.

I had an idea to make a cool theme if anyone with time or want to work on a new project. I'm not good in creating one but maybe someone on here interested in helping out.

This would be an Arcade1up Theme style
just using arcade roms

On the cabinet style either having the front face image like this


Or the 3D slanted angle which shows the cab as well like this


I'm more of a fan of the second one. Almost like robospin format.

Make the marquee to change with the video snap.

Maybe even have an option to change the cabinet or just renaming a photo and you can switch it to a different cab like this. Or make separate layout for each.


They even release some party cades. A whole layout with just party cades would be hot too.

The arrow selector for the wheel where u select the rom use a small image of this


The background can either be all black or using the brick


Make a layout that works horizontally and one for the vertical cabs.

General / Exit to Menu

What he does is provide a killswitch. By holding a button down for 5 seconds it will exit you out of any emulator back to the menu screen. Without using hotkey or a button combination.

I've used the code and it works but for some reason when trying to do this after launching a rom in attract mode it will not work. Only works in emulationstation.

General / Generate Rom List Duplicates

Every time I add new roms and then generate it updates and adds but also all the roms get duplicated with file name __Galaga etc. which I delete and then it’s fine. Is there a simpler way not to have to do this everytime. The more I add the more times I have to delete next time

General / Press Start to continue

Hello

On attract mode when I select a game I added an image showing the controls layout and then I set run command to like 999 so it don’t disappear right away.

You have to press A and only Afor it to go forward and start game up. I would like to change it to start button. Is this possible? I know I can go to controls and set my start button as the A button and it will work but anyway I can just change via script?

Also before image appears there is some text on top with run command I think? It’s for a quick second then disappears and the image appears. It does not do this in emulation station

Themes / Arcade1Up Layout?

Hello

I've been using emulationstation for my images but have ran into a roadblock where I need to use attract mode instead.
I'm modding a cab that only has a trackball and I do not want to add in a joystick. Attract Mode does a great job in allowing me to navigate the menus with the trackball as emulationstation does not.

I've been using Hursty A1U theme up to this point

I've installed attract mode and went with the Grid layout theme. Which is pretty good for the most part. I set it to 1 column with 5 rows and it looks like this.

Everything functions as should. I'm able to navigate the wheel and input the wheel art work. I like the simple look but its just too plain.
Unfortunately I don't see an option to add it a background. Does anyone know if its possible to add in a background instead of the all black background? I would like to use this background

I want something to resemble to stock Arcade1up image as much as possible. Hursty has done a great job for emulationstation theme.

If anyone know if possible to add this to the default grid layout or if anyone out there can create this layout for me? Preferably to use for both vertical and horizontal or create 2 separate for each.
