Thing is I’m using it on an arcade cab where there is kids or friends that come over Will button smash. The hard press prevents exit being used

It works fine in emulationstation

I’m not good with coding. If someone can fix script and get it to work

I found this guys coding on reddit.
https://icculus.org/finger/icculus?date=2019-12-27&time=02-04-18

What he does is provide a killswitch. By holding a button down for 5 seconds it will exit you out of any emulator back to the menu screen. Without using hotkey or a button combination.

I've used the code and it works but for some reason when trying to do this after launching a rom in attract mode it will not work. Only works in emulationstation.

Don't worry about the page numbers on bottom. You can just make it say page without the numbers

I'm just worried if it will fit. Like when u put cursor on marquee game if it will overlap too much the A1U logo on left. If you have to make marquee game selection smaller do it. Or maybe fit 4 on one page instead of 3?

Hey we had a guy in the community that was able to take the actual image files off the pcb of the arcade1up machine LOL

Is there a way maybe we can update this?
I like the original brick background

I know the atari logo is there. Not sure if possible to remove if not just leave it there

I used recent retropie image. I installed attract mode from experimental packages. I then ran update on all installed packages.
But i gave this problem.

I found the mistake if you initially install attract mode from binary instead of source you will get this problem.
Once I installed from source everything now works. Thank you.

Every time I add new roms and then generate it updates and adds but also all the roms get duplicated with file name __Galaga etc. which I delete and then it’s fine. Is there a simpler way not to have to do this everytime. The more I add the more times I have to delete next time

Oh wow thank u so much that fixed everything

Since u mentioned xboxdrv

I did want to use this on my arcade build. I was told there might be an option to have a hold press on the escape button.

I only have the start button so I have retroarch setup where start acts as both coin and start. Then I set start as my hotkey and start as exit key.

I wanted if u press start u get coin and start which it does. But in order to trigger escape u would have to hold it down.

I think I saw awhile ago someone posted and got it to work

Hello

On attract mode when I select a game I added an image showing the controls layout and then I set run command to like 999 so it don’t disappear right away.

You have to press A and only Afor it to go forward and start game up. I would like to change it to start button. Is this possible? I know I can go to controls and set my start button as the A button and it will work but anyway I can just change via script?

Also before image appears there is some text on top with run command I think? It’s for a quick second then disappears and the image appears. It does not do this in emulation station

It looks real good

If the glow gives u problems I’d say just get rid of it and just a simple highlight would work.

here is a video in action
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=bXHn1gK_Vwo

First is stock arcade1up horizontal and then vertical. Then the next two are what I'm using in emulationstation both horizontal and vertical.

the stock just put the logo on top to make it fit but seems u got it to fit nice the way it is.

That glow is a bit too much. can it be more white and maybe skinnier.

Anyway to make the font all the way on bottom that says push a to select game more bold and steady just stick there.

Yea the retropie logo because what arcade1up uses is license publishers like capcom, midway, atari etc.

The mods I do is specific for the controls. Like cab with all trackball, all spinner, 4 player games, 3 player etc

If it can only list 6-12 games that fine. Prefer 6 but either work. Not sure if u maybe can make for it to list only favorites. So if lets say I have 20 games on there and put only 6 favorites those would be on there.

But what u just showed looks good just go a bit easier on the glow
