« on: June 13, 2016, 08:45:06 PM »
Ok why do I get blank screen after the retropi logo on floobs 0.4 when i change the

sudo nano b/etc/fsta

I enter this line

/dev/sda1       /mnt/disk      ext4      defaults   0       1

so it points to my external hdd?

also to make note teh rpi 3 has  solid red light and flashing green light

Omamez-

Fstab should already be setup to automount. So, you don't really need to edit fstab if you plugged a drive into the usb port.

Edit this file here  > /etc/emulationstation/es_systems.cfg and change the rom paths for the emulators you want to use the external hd. It should probably be something like this /media/usb0/roms/mame. Basically, /media/usb0/ will be the root dir.

Are you sure that the external HDD is SDA?
Second. are you sure that external HDD have ext4 format?
Third change the last 1 for a 0.

Yeah, here is a generic ntfs example for fstab. Just add your partition type after /mnt like you did.

/dev/sda1 /mnt ntfs defaults 0 0

Then you need to edit the  /etc/emulationstation/es_systems.cfg as I stated above.
