« on: January 05, 2017, 09:21:22 PM »
UPDATE 01/04 FIRST RELEASE!
UPDATE: NEW DEMO v1.0 ON YOUTUBE!!

Implemented animated mini wings with snap and Indicator for filter and number of selected game

Submenu with extra info, like snapshot a little more big, description of the game and time played!

Custom backgrounds and colors for selectbox, menu, fonts for any system

Generic layout if not exist a custom bg

MENU OPTIONS
System: select the system from menu (BUTTON SELECT) or previuos/next pushed BUTTON A (for previous) o BUTTON B (for next)
Config: Enter to the config of attractmode
Filter: select the filter from menu (BUTTON SELECT) or previuos/next pushed BUTTON A (for previous) o BUTTON B (for next)
MiniSnap: toggle mini snap (BUTTON B) and Filter info (BUTTON A) to fix/remove to screen.

BASIC CONFIGURATION
the theme NEEDS TO CONFIGURE THE BUTTONS as follows

CUSTOM1 = BUTTON B IN THE FRONTEND
CUSTOM2 = BUTTON A IN THE FRONTEND
CUSTOM3 = BUTTON SELECT IN THE FRONTEND
SELECT = BUTTON START IN THE FRONTEND

IN KEYS UP, DOWN, LEFT, RIGHT DELETE THE "Default action" AND ASIGN UP, DOWN, LEFT, RIGHT FROM JOYSTICK NORMALLY

IN GENERAL OPTIONS
Set CONFIRM FAVOURITES = NO

TEMPLATE BASE FOR NEW BACKGROUNDS
Files for PSD with template base (in attachments), If someone feels creative can make backgrounds for the other systems and so I can add them in the next realeases  ;D

FILE WITH EXTRA BACKGROUNDS FOR OTHER SYSTEMS (othersystems.zip)
BG for NES by stuart2773
BG for FAMICOM DISK SYSTEM by stuart2773

MUSIC FROM MINI NES ORIGINAL
Mini nes music (the forum dont uploaded file with more than 5mb, i uploaded in my server soon)

IMPORTANT: The theme loads many images at the same time, for the main grid and the grid of miniatures, it is recommended to resize the flyers to 310px height, with this you gain fluids when scrolling, the images that download the scrapper are exaggeratedly large

IN THE NEXT RELEASES:
  • Recoded theme for other resolutions, 4:3 and 16:10 por example, for now only 1920x1080  :-\
  • Optimize more for Rpi
  • more info on Big SubMenu and other graphics
  • more functionality in general and optimizations
  • cleaning code of debug sentences and other stuff

Thanks to all who supported the project and those who had patience, I hope your comments to improve the theme, enjoy it!

Theme looks great! Maybe I use it on my rpi for consoles. Does it support 4:3 format?

Yes, when finalized or more advanced, for now is a bit beta, although it works very well. thanks for you interest.

Looks great!

One thing bothers me thou.
When you switch the game - dark blue selection moves first - and then the cyan frame (see the screenshot - single video frame).
When you are quickly browsing game list - it's almost not noticeable. But if you are slowly switching games it looks awkward (at least for me).
Maybe it's the way the original UI works - but it bothers me.

It should be the other way around (frame first, highlight second) - or ideally, simultaneously.

Very awesome have to have it when available!

Have a question though...

Would it be possible to play a different background theme on switching systems?

Not a big deal but it was cool to do with mamewah when I was using it...
