Title: Does attract mode support merged Romset?

I have a small mame Romset which have is organized in merged mode, therefore all rom's clones are contained inside zipped parent.
It appears attract mode doesn't support merged roms, therefore only files in directory are supported. Can you confirm this?

Yes.

I use non-merged. Certain clones are better than parents. Very few games though.
