General / System submenu , is possible?
« on: November 19, 2016, 04:08:21 AM »
I love the new attract-mode menu , and I have a question.
Can we create a submenu folder like on mala frontend tree?
Let me explain.

When you have a lot of systems is a bit weary to change from system 1 to sytem 34 for example.
I like to arrange all this stuff in subsytem menus, like for expample:

Arcade > Mame , NeoGeo ...
Classic consoles > Nintendo Nes , Atari 2600 ....
Handheld systems > Game Boy , Game Gear ...
...

Is this possible?

I did the following:

Code: [Select]
make MXE_TARGETS='x86_64-w64-mingw32.static' ffmpeg sfml
git clone --depth 1 https://github.com/mickelson/attract attract
cd attract
make -j 3 CROSS=1 TOOLCHAIN=x86_64-w64-mingw32.static WINDOWS_STATIC=1

And gave me this error

General / Updtae AM on windows
« on: November 11, 2016, 08:13:06 AM »
I`ve updated my AM build on my rpi3 in less than 5 minutes.
So , why is so extremly complicated update it on windows or linux x86?
Lastest nightly builds for windows are datted on june 2016

I`m trying to do a Windows (cross-compile) without succes.

Quote
Follow the steps in the mxe tutorial to set up mxe on your system: http://mxe.cc/#tutorial

Make mxe's sfml, ffmpeg and libarchive packages:

   make ffmpeg sfml libarchive

So , what exactly I have to do , full mxe compilation or only "ffmpeg sfml libarchive"

I`m running ubuntu 16.04
Followed this steps:

Quote
To install Debian packages, add the location of our APT to your /etc/apt/sources:

# echo "deb http://pkg.mxe.cc/repos/apt/debian wheezy main" > \
   /etc/apt/sources.list.d/mxeapt.list

Then add our GPG key to APT:

# apt-key adv --keyserver keyserver.ubuntu.com --recv-keys D43A795B73B16ABE9643FE1AFD8FFF16DB45C6AB

Update APT cache:

# apt-get update

Install some MXE package:

# apt-get install mxe-i686-w64-mingw32.static-qt

But after donwload the git source and try to make the windows .exe gaves me an error.
Anyone can help me?Thanks.

General / Re: How to get mame real game names , not zip names?
« on: September 12, 2016, 05:08:45 AM »
Well after various try and error attempts it´s working.
Thanks another time progets.
I think that mame 106 romset could not be generated by mame.xml.
On windows I could generate the mame list but not only my romset folder.
It generates a complete mame.xml set on the mame list.
I´m using a 106 clone off romset.

On the rpi it didn´t work.
I have to put this settings: "info_source          listsoftware+thegamesdb.net"

Code: [Select]
# Generated by Attract-Mode v2.1.0
#
executable           /opt/retropie/supplementary/runcommand/runcommand.sh
args                 0 _SYS_ mame-libretro "[romfilename]"

Thanks another time , but still not working.
I´ve deleted all mame (libretro) files and configs.
The script generates my mame romlist very quickly , I think that´s not reading the mame.xml

Here is a little part of my mame.xml , its a 24mb file.
Is there any place to downloade a mame 106 clone off romlist for attract mode?Or another external program to generate it?

Thak you for the help but it´s not working.
I generated the mame.xml using mame.exe (mame 106version)

Code: [Select]
mame.exe -listxml > mame.xml
This is my MAME (Libretro).cfg

Code: [Select]
# Generated by Attract-Mode v2.1.0
#
executable           /opt/retropie/supplementary/runcommand/runcommand.sh
args                 0 _SYS_ mame-libretro "[romfilename]"
rompath              /home/pi/RetroPie/roms/mame-libretro
romext               .zip
system               Arcade
info_source          listxml
import_extras        /home/pi/.attract/mame-config/mame.xml;/home/pi/.attract/mame-config/catver.ini;/home/pi/.attract/mame-config/nplayers.ini
artwork    flyer           /home/pi/RetroPie/roms/mame-libretro/flyer
artwork    flyer2          /home/pi/RetroPie/roms/mame-libretro/instructions
artwork    marquee         /home/pi/RetroPie/roms/mame-libretro/marquee
artwork    snap            /home/pi/RetroPie/roms/mame-libretro/snap
artwork    wheel           /home/pi/RetroPie/roms/mame-libretro/wheel

I´ve regenerated the "MAME (Libretro).txt" romlist but it`s still showing zip names.

Well , i didn`t change the default config path.
I`ve tried to launch mame by command line from terminal and it returned a message "ilegal operation".
