The custom graphics that I mean, is when I add a custom collection, so as an example I created a Metal Slug collection, I then have to do a banner for that, and any other collections that I make.

You have also only done so many systems, so for example if I wanted Playstation 5 (example) as an emulator, then I have to produce custom graphics for that and any other systems that you have not done.

Also the missing graphics are the theme graphics that are missing, not my game graphics, even though they never showed up, but I would potentially have to go in and add graphics to them such as system logo's manufacters etc.

Gamers menu works, Gamers default, I am not getting any artwork hopefully my screen shot will upload

Regards

Mark

SCREENSHOT REMOVED AS SKIN CREATOR HAS SEEN IT, ALSO TOO LARGE.

Mark

Thank you for reply. First, accroding to your screenshot, your monitor really is 4k monitor, so it proves why you said the image qulaity is low.

Second, the layout is missing games artwork, pleae make sure emulator cfg setting like as below.

Code: [Select]
artwork    flyer           ..\am\emu\FC\flyer
artwork    wheel          ..\am\emu\FC\wheel
artwork    hdart           ..\am\emu\FC\hdart
artwork    snap             ..\am\emu\FC\snap;..\am\emu\FC\video

Thrid, it is so strange for missing game information like as title. I don't know is it related of resolution issue. Since I haven't 4k monitor, so I can't for doing testing. You may try to change your resolution to 1920 x 1080 for making test. Or do you have any error log for opening the theme? Thanks.

I will look into it for you, it is actually a 43 inch 4K TV that I am using as a monitor.

I am just doing another installation of AM as I am still playing with it, but this is my final set up, as I still need to learn a bit more, but I have more knowledge than I did a few days ago.

The other two themes work fine, it is just the default one that does not work.

I shall try the above anyway. Thanks :)

I recommend you running AM in console mode to look into log screen. It is good for trobleshooting the issue. Thanks.

As I had some spare time, I looked at gamers default again, and I turned down the resolution to 1920 x 1080 and still nothing showing, I had a snap in the top right, but no menu artwork etc.

I also checked through the video snaps, and they all have sound, so I am not sure what happened before, maybe I had the sound muted or something.

I had a quick look through the nut file, but I was not going to go through the whole thing, too tired for that :)

I would have thought that the basic graphics would have shown, such as the menu bar or something that is hard coded, but nothing apart from that video snap.

Hopefully, you make it more user friendly, so it is just plug and play, drag and drop and bang ready to play.

Congrats though, I have seen a few of your themes now and they are quality.

I have double checked the code & files. All is fine.

What is your build version of AM? is it the latest version 2.6.1? I suspect you are using incompatibility version AM.

I recommend you try to donwload the latest version of AM in another PC for testing again. Thanks

I am on v2.6.1, AM is portable as far as I am aware, so you can have more than one set up.

I won't be testing on another PC, as my other PC's are for difference purposes such as Jukebox, Cinema, Office etc

This is my arcade PC, so if something does not work on here, then I am not worried about if it works on other PC's.

Hopefully it works for other people, but it is not an urgent matter for me, I was just browsing and testing new things.

I would not use the skin on my set up anyway, but it was meant for me to learn more about different skins.

I think I know why it is not working, but now I need to go through your code, as I know you have messed up somewhere, you are calling for artwork which is not even there from what I can see.

The artwork that is in the folder is sitting there, not doing anything. You would be better off having a directory called

Artwork and then putting your art work in there and then use add.image

I have only been skinning since yesterday, but come on lol

Ok I have had more time to play around. Firstly attract-console for me does not produce an error list, it is the main attract.exe that brings up last run text files, I found this while working on my skin. Which is why I never had time to mess around.

However, I will post the full log

Got it. It is not related of coding or AM version issue.

Please make sure your attarct.cfg file like as below format for each system. You can only setup 2 filters All & Favourites

Code: [Select]
display MAME
layout               GAMERS_DEFAULT
romlist              MAME
in_cycle             yes
in_menu              yes
filter               All
filter               Favourites
rule                 Favourite equals 1

Ok I have it running now, I swear I was trying it on different systems yesterday. I only have three set up so far. So it should have worked.

A nice, simple, clean theme, the graphics look to be of high quality. Sadly not a theme for me after all this, it is just too basic for my needs and wants lol

I have Arcade cabinets, well I will once I have built one and repaired the other, so you need a theme that packs a punch. I would struggle even to using this on my cinema PC.

A nice theme for a raspberry pi something which is not going to be heavy hitting on the processing power.

I am looking forward to trying your new theme though, the one with the arcade cabinet screen. HD Stadium I think that it is called.

However, your themes HATE me. I have just tried SMP and sadly that does not work for me, I tried on the same systems as before, but nothing.

I only have MAME, Atomiswave and Metal Slug Collection set up at the moment. I wanted to start doing set up guides for people, people like me that are new to the front end, as not a lot of videos on Youtube for AM. I am lucky enough to be able to get most things set up, and find out how they work, but some people might struggle, as this is not 100% an easy front end to use, but so far it seems fantastic on what it is capable of doing.

Regards

Mark

Congratulation!  :)

The theme is oriented for multi systems, so simple design is the best.  ;)

What I like and LOVE about your skin demo's is that you have the whole Japanese, Manga, Anime stuff going on.

Once you get the skins and try them out yourself, it is where is all the Japan stuff gone, the manga, the anime?

You really need to create a skin that contains all of this as that would look fantastic.

What caught my eye and got me to try Attract Mode was Nesica theme and Sega Pres, I was going for the whole Japanese gaming machine.

If you made a Manga, Anima, Japan theme it would be a killer
