Title: RPi3 Attract Mode P1 Joystick upside down

Hi everyone.  I have attract mode setup with emulationstation on a RPi3.  Joystick works as configured in emuationstation and also works correctly in the attract mode game selection area but when i start a game selected from attract mode, the P1 joystick is setup incorrectly.  Can anyone assist or point in the right direction?  I'm not sure where the configuration is getting messed up.

Greetings and welcome. Which Linux distribution do you use? (Retropie, Retrobox, Raspbian … etc.) And which emulator?
