Similar problem here.
When in mame64 after being launch trough AM, it seems any change won't be saved:
- Any change redefining controls (pressing TAB) won't be saved the next time you play.
- If you play a CHD game, like SFIII, and you wait for like 30 minutes to load, you can play OK, but next time, it will have to load again!
- No highscore saving is possible.

Any solution or the only way around is to make any changes directly in mame?

Yep, setting a delay solved the problem (5 seconds).

Nevertheless, I made an effort to improve the time from booting to entering  AM, so I would like not to use this option.

I'll try also your 3rd option.

So, I'm launching atrractmode on windows startup (placed the shorcut on the startup folder), but when entering windows, attract modes initiates but apparently on background of "something". I need to press ALT+TAB to get really into AM and move along the lists.

- Display some sort of transparent Platform art in the upper right hand corner, next to the video scroll area, above the Flyer section.
-> I would like layout is clean up, so will not add image on right hand corner. You can set Platform logo on left hand corner manually like as  my snes screen shot. Make sure select Expert mode in option.

I would like to show somehow which platform I'm in, kind of like you can see here below. But don´t know how to do it. I think kent79 was explaining that in the message above, but don`t know what do I have to change.

I'm using the Game Station in an arcade cabinet with CRT monitor.
