advmame still playing behind AM console
« on: December 25, 2016, 08:46:47 PM »
hi support,
i am running a RPi3 updated, with AM updated to 2.2.  i have set AM to use FULL screen mode instead of FILL screen.
advmame is updated also, and works correctly in emu station.

but still... advmame is showing/playing in the background behind Attract Mode.

does anyone know the right flags to force -fullscreen in advmame cmd line or config files?  or in AM to say force hide console?
its crazy, i just cant get it to run in the foreground.  thanks for any help.

Mattz, I am having this exact same problem.

Updated last night to the latest builds on my RPi3 with AM 2.2 just a black screen and can hear the game running in the background.

I am stuck as well.
Wish I had an answer.

Please try updating 'sfml-pi' and attractmode to the latest versions and let me know if this still happens.

I was having attractmode block daphne here and the latest changes seem to fix that, hopefully they fix this too.

cheers

That did the trick! Focus is now being taken over by the emulators.

Updated both sfml-pi and re-compiled attract mode again.

My version with update - Using Attract -v

"Attract-Mode v2.2.0 (Linux, SFML 2.3 +Fontconfig +RPi +SWF
Using FFmpeg for Audio and Video
avcodex 57.70.100 / avformat 57.61.100 / swscale 4.3.101 / swresample 2.4.100
Shaders are not available"

Window Mode - Fullscreen Mode
Video Decoder - mmal

Thank you !!

Updating both fixed this same issue for me. It was only affecting Advmame in Attractmode (not in Emulationstation) or NES or anything else.

Could somebody please tell me how to update sfml-pi and attract mode ?  I'm having the issue where runcommand is hidden, I was directed to this thread from another saying updating these fixes the issue.
Thanks in advance.
