in your emulators folder,  in the .cfg   you can put somthing like

artwork    video           am/files/videos

then in your theme to show them..

local video = fe.add_artwork( "video" ,700, 300, 400, 400);

just remember the names of all videos need to be the same as the romslist..  ;)
help a friend....

Most layouts (themes) use "snap" artwork for videos. Put the path to your videos there and separate it from the path to your snaps with a semicolon ( ; ). When you do this the layout will show a video if you have it and it will show the snap if you don't.

Example:
Code: [Select]
artwork    snap            C:\path\to\videos;C:\path\to\snaps

Just to give you a heads up from my experience. When I was downloading the HD versions from Emu I was getting slow downs in AM, for me HQ worked a lot better.

If you are on a slightly older PC this might be an issue, but I think that someone who had an older PC than I did had no issues with HD versions, but he did have problems with HQ.

I do not have to recode the emu movies stuff, but if I download from YT then I recode to a much lower resolution. I had them around 570k I think and they still looked good on a 4K TV.

Regards

Mark

Thanks for advice my current pc can handle HD videos, I still have some questions

1. where does AM saves their media?  I created my own media folders so i can easily find
2. Im missing some images in top of the AM Lay what is the name of those images?  Wheel, clear logos, logos, Banners?

1. for the Displays Menu (main menu) \AttractMode\menu-art; for the systems \AttractMode\scraper but you can store them anywhere and put the paths in the emulator configuration files

2. most AM layouts call those "wheel", on emumovies they call them clear logos.
