I encoded my Overview txt file with UTF-8-without BOM (byte-order mark), because before the first letter was a miss.

What also works is to save the text file as .nut and then rename it back to .txt.

Now I have to change all my overviews first again.  ;)

Find a program called UTFCast Express, automate those changes.  ;)

Im sorry, i can not help you. I have never been interested in these things. When i start Attract-Mode, what i want is to start playing, not read the games wikipedia.  :-[

In Spanish we also have special characters that the English language does not use: á Á é É í Í or Ó ú Ú ñ Ñ ¿ ¡
Before Attract-Mode had difficulties to put them on the screen, but after a bug report that i passed to the staff, between Mickelson and Oomek they solved it. Now i have no problem, but i have to use UTF-8 encoding, not ANSI, in the romlists and overviews.

It is also important that the font that uses Attract-Mode and its layouts include those special characters.

Thanks, Keil, of course it does seem yours ... What i was going to ask you, and i won't do it because i know you don't have time for these things, is why did you use fixed values and didn't use the coordinates based on percentages?  :-[

I guess being one of the first layouts, he had not yet foreseen that possibility.  8)

Thanks, but... That layout is not what i ask for, that is the Orbit Display Menu. I ask for the Orbit that is included in the Attract-Mode package.

I forgot to say that, by default, the videos look green, like in the original IBM, but i put an option to see them in color.

Did you finish it?

Not yet, i have to fix some of the information of the games, and i have not finished testing it. I am very busy with my new Picade.  :-[

Thanks Oomek for this theme. I really like it a lot.
Right now i am programming for the Raspberry pi 4 and 4:3 screen, so i won't be able to use it.
In any case, i love seeing the code of your layouts since i always learn something new.
And i'm glad to see you taking out new things, because that means you are in better health right now.

This Simple Retro Layout theme is what is says, simple and clean. Will you be releasing this anytime soon?

Well, I don't know when to get that frontend, but programming it for Attract-Mode can't take more than 5 minutes... It's just generate a full screen listbox and a title above.

What you want, but it works perfectly for me.  8)

Of course i do not intend to put layouts like Arcadeflow... I have already designed my own so that they consume few resources.  :-[

And with RetroArch i emulate up to Sega Dreamcast... I don't need more... ;D

And the MAME2003+ and MAME2010 cores also work well for me.  :D

I don't know the frontend Paula. But for the time we are at and the possibilities that Attract-Mode has, it seems too simple and boring.
It's just my opinion, and i say it honestly without trying to bother you.

It reminds me of this old frontend: Game Launcher
