Flickering oddity
« on: February 20, 2022, 07:31:42 AM »
Hey all, just set up AM 2.6.2 on two completely identical machines. And by that I mean they literally have the same hardware and software, same games, everything setup the same way, even the same model TV and controllers attached.

They both turn on and launch into AM completely fine, AM operates fine, can launch games totally fine. The issue comes when I exit a game on one of the machines. One machine will exit successfully, the other will get back to AM but the screen will start flickering like mad. I can still control AM and launch games, but the flickering in AM never stops.

Doesn't matter which game I launch, one always succeeds and one always goes into the mad flickering/blinking.

Went over everything I could think of last night and just could not solve, attempted AM from scratch several times, just can't figure it out.

Any ideas? Thank you!

I would look at your hardware TV, Graphics card etc, try each set up (swap hard drives) and see if it happens on that. If so then it is possibly hardware failure.

Does the good one work on the bad one, or same problem. Does the bad one work on the good one or the same problem. It will narrow it down for you

Regards

Seemed to be some kind of weird driver issue for the GPU, even though they both had the same drivers (and the same GPU).

Re-installed latest drivers for this card and adjusted an odd resolution issue (resolution was set to 1360 x 768 instead of 1366 x 768) and now all seems fine with the flickering.

Weird.
