Hi,
I have a problem with my new arcade controller.
I'm trying to configure the joystick, but when I add the new input for the acion DOWN , it shows Joy0 Upos ( for UP is Joy0 Uneg) but when i exit it saves it as Joy0 Up and it doesn't work the DOWN action.
How can I make it work?

I only have a doubt...
In ubuntu i can only install mame .160 (in ubuntu default) or the latest (.180) with a custom ppa.
Is teh xml file ok even if the libretro is based on .78?
..a couple of question...If i generate thh xml file i suppose it will list All compatible roms.
Does the generate romlist command match whole compatible roms witht the roms in the rom folder so I will have only my rom list?
last one, is there a way to have a ONLY WORKING ROM list?

Many Many thanks for this image file!! 
I've already used AM in linux with mame emulators and i didn't have this "problem" so i ask here if someone can help me.
I've just placed my rom files in the mame-libretro rom folder, leave the default executable with runcomman.sh , when i select to generate the rom list, it gives me the list of the rom files and not the titles of the game.
What should I do to have the games titles?

I found another solution. Generate the list with the mame executable seated. Then change the executable without regenerating the list

I've already done it.
I just didn't scrape 'cause i already have all the video snaps.
The problem is that if i "generate collection" using mame as executable, it generates the correct rom list with the name of the games, instead, if I "generate collection" using retroarch and relative options as executable, it gives me the rom list with rom names.
I'm using the Attract-man default theme.

Hi!
I'm running AM with retropie on my xubuntu machine.
HARDLY I found how to set AM to work with retroarch instead of using the MAME executable and here are the settings hope this help somoeone:
EXECUTABLE: /opt/retropie/emulators/retroarch/bin/retroarch
ARGUMENTS: -L /opt/retropie/libretrocores/lr-mame2003/mame2003_libretro.so --config /opt/retropie/configs/mame-libretro/retroarch.cfg "[romfilename]"
My problem is that the emulator work, but when i generate the rom list, i get a list made of rom names and not a list of games names. what should i have to change in my commands to get the correct list?

That's what I'd like to do, but my mame installation is 0.160 and it is not compatible with a lot of roms that i already have for 0.78 version (which runs correctly in retropie) and i don't know how to (and if it's possible) to install a 0.78 version of mame in xubuntu.

I'm making my arcade station with only MAME, I've tried retropie but i prefer attract mode.
The problem is that in retropie i can run all my roms using mame2003. On attract mode i use the mame application installed on Xubuntu that is 0.160 version and it's not able to run all the roms.
So I thought to use attract mode on retropie 'cause it seems that is possible to use but all the guide i found was about an IMG file for rasperry.
So my questions are:
1- Is there a guide for use attract mode on retropie having both already installed? which files should i have to modify?
2- alternativekly, is there a way to installa 078 versin of mame on xubuntu instead of the 160?
3- If i use clrmamepro to convert my roms from 078 to 160 will they work on mame160 attract mode or they continue to display that they miss some files?

Hi!
I'm new with Attract- mode but i love it!
I've tried retropie before, but i prefer attract.
I'd like to use it to make an aracde cabinet using an old pc with ubuntu.
It's working good at the moment but I'd like an easy way to filter games by letter using the joystick.
Is there a way to do it?
Even a complete search but using only joystick could be very very nice

I already have a lot of artworks every type in a single zip file (flyers.zip, cabinets.zip and so on)
Should i have to unzip them or it's possible to make attract to use the zip files?
