Hi There,

Wondered if anyone can help.

Trying to set up a Sega Dreamcast emulator and Sega Saturn Emulator using Attract Mode...Have others set up but wanted to see if I could get some help.

Whats the best one to use with Attract Mode and how do you set them up?

Please any help would be greatly appreciated.

General / Attract Binary on MacOS just fails silently (mame works fine)

Installed mame and it runs fine.  Downloaded the MacOS binary of Attract and my ROMS are listed.  I select one to start and there is a pause, the screen flashed black for a second then returns to the main menu.  No errors - nothing.

Where to start?

General / How can I update an old AM image or build a new one? (raspberry Pi 4 preferrably

Is there a rpi 4b Attract mode image that I can download? If there is how can I migrate an image to it so it will have all the cool UI graphics running well?

I have an old Hyperpie/Attract Mode image from 2017, MLP 128gb, that gets some lag on arcade games because its on a Raspberry Pi 3b. I have a 4b and a 3b+ but I have not found any working way of updating this Jessie OS or anything that will allow me to use the image on the newer rpi hardwares. I am willing to take someone elses build, for, hopefully, a rpi 4b, to put all the videos and whatever else needs to be transferred to make it look like the MLP 128gb one. The MLP 128gb one is the same as the VirtualMan 128gb build that was uploaded to arcadepunks soon thereafter so that's another way you can find it if you want to see why I like it.

I am not expert with AM and I currently use AM+, but this is how I have setup up an "emulator" to run Sonic Mania.

Create 'C:\Emulation\attract-mode\emulators\Sonic Mania.cfg' and add below text, then save. (use your own folders and filenames to match).

General / Running windows .exe through shortcut attract mode

Hey there apologies for the simple question but im struggling here.
How do I get my generic windows games to boot through attract mode.
Ive tried a couple of old suggestions and I'll describe whats going on now.

.Lnk files are stored here D:\Windows games\Links

Executable : cmd
args : /c "[romfilename]"
rompaths:  D:\Windows games\Links
romextensions : .lnk

the error i get is the following
Error getting emulator info for launch
 ! Unexpectedly lost focus to: explorer.exe (17052)
