Yup I had a small miss configuration. After fixing it, everything works great now.

Worked!

Window mode (no border) actually set the screen larger than my display but when I edited the window.am file to a smaller screen size it worked as it is meant to.

My screen size is set at 1280 x 768

Window mode (no border) sets it to 1282 x 770.
and the position changes from (position -0,-0) to (position -1,-1) in Window mode (no border)

Win 10
Integrated Graphics on a laptop.

X64 Attract:             Window (No Boarder) not working. All the rest work fine.
x64 Attract-console: Window (No Boarder) not working. All the rest work fine.

X86 Attract:             Window (No Boarder) not working. All the rest work fine.
x86 Attract-console: Window (No Boarder) not working. All the rest work fine.

No the grid layouts seemed to overwhelm my laptop and it just lagged so much the graphics shutdown.

I never got to test selecting a game from them so I have no idea if the layouts worked ok or just blacked out like the old problem.

As for the old problem I have not had any issues since the V 2.5.1-1.

I had a play with the layouts today. Only trouble I had was with the 2 Grid layouts. But that could be because I am running it on my laptop atm...

I am very impressed with Attract Mode so far.
My next mission is to start adding other emulators to it... I.E. Genisis/Megadrive PSP and playstation 1,2,&3

I have sent my details but as I am using my laptop it might not be enough info. I will set up on one of my other systems and see if it happens on one of those as well.....

Yea I just get Fillscreen and window mode working. I happy with that and so far after a few days of testing all is good. I havnt play with any other layouts yet.

That worked!! Rookie mistake i guess. 

Ok so now it is all working. I can get the default Fillscreen and Window modes to work.

I am using win 10 64bit super stripped down version.
AM 2.5.2 (its actually 2.5.1-1)
Mame 0.204

I am happy with the setup. Going to copy all the config files to a backup drive in case it goes wonky.

Not yet. I think I may have a mame issue. I select a game press enter/select play button and it says Initiating then reverts back to AM game menu.

Did a console start with debug logging turned on...

heres the logfile. If anyone sees a problem let me know. :-)

Dam it... now nothing works.... 

Went good for about 3 hours of game playing. Shutdown AM, came back later now I cant get any games to work again.

I going to do a full reinstall and start from scratch.

I shall try the 32 bit options...

I am able to get the default (Fillscreen) working now. The others still dont work but I not to bothered about them.

My roms play fine in Mame. They work fine in AM in windows mode setting only. They wont work in any of the other screen settings. Just get black screen. no sound, Nothing. ESC key gets me back to my layout. I am using the pacman layout that comes with AM.

I not sure what changing the screen setting has to do with running the roms (games) unless it is a 64bit problem. Strange...

Me bad. Just realized there is a new version. Will d/l and try it out now.....

No different. It must be a setting I have wrong somewhere....

Hello. I have the following setup.
Win 10
AM V2.5.1
Mame 0.203

Its taken me a long time to get everything working.
I can run/play games in Mame. I can play games from AM in windows mode.
But as soon as I change back to fillscreen or fullscreen no games play. Even in windows (No boarder) wont work.
I just get a black screen and have to Esc out to the menu.

I have tried using the Attack.exe as well as the console mode.

Any help appreciated.
