This is a beta release of The Great Themes Collection for Attract-Mode Plus.
The aim of this release is to test it on various user PCs.
What's new:
- Massive code update all across the board
- The new Wheel is finally here! Huge difference from the old one - much faster, way smoother, immensely better! 8)
- Added a global Favorites system that allows the user to view and launch all his favorite games, from all systems, from one display (Favourites theme). The new system creates and manages a Favorites.txt romlist. So when you create your favorites display, just point it to the Favorites romlist and you are done. Couldn't be simpler!
Remark: for the global favorites system to work properly, in AM Configure menu, set 'Confirm Favourites' to 'No'.
- Added a music player capability to all the themes. Each theme can point to a different music folder, or just play music from the default folder: 'attract/gtc-common/music'
- Added a new animation module class called ArtworkGTC (derived from my work on the Hyperspin Attraction build). This module allows for some more complex inertia based animations to be added to layouts
- Added a CD/DVD rotation animation to all themes that feature such media art
- Replaced some of the hovering animations with new ArtworkGTC based ones
- Added a new theme for the Amiga: 'Commodore Amiga Workbench'
- 'Hyperspin Theme Mode Main Menu' is now called 'Main Menu Hyperspin' and was updated to the latest version featured in the Hyperspin Attraction build
- Consolidated the At-The-Arcade-Capcoms into one theme
- Consolidated the At-The-Arcade-Sega Models into one theme
- Added a new Plugin called 'Wheel Navigator' that allows to either randomly spin the wheel or navigate forward one game at a time after a certain amount of user inactivity time has passed (very similar to what Hyperspin has).
- As AM+ has removed all flash related support, GTC is now flash free!
For now at least, I have removed the 'Hyperspin Theme Mode' layout from the collection as it has evolved into a system of it's own.

You're welcome bud.
Just to add to my previous comment, attractmode+ layouts won't work with standard attractmode IF they use am+ specific modules (such as inertia and wheel etc).
However, all existing layouts and modules should continue to work under attractmode+, you do not need nor require two versions or builds etc.
Hope that clears up any confusion. Also remember that am+ is still being worked on.

This is great.
I currently have no time to deal with development / testing / releases or repackaging except short conversations in the forum / discord but do feel free to repackage and redistribute the collection with your own themes and customization. I welcome it.

I really think it's the better option for people to participate and enhance your really good work.

As I am bored I will give you my two pence worth. You want to drive traffic to the forum, not git hub in my view. If people download this on GH then they do not sign up for the forum. It is far better to get new traffic to the website and also the forums, to keep this place alive. It is like saying can I post this on Arcade Punks for example, they benefit from the extra traffic and the forum dies like a dodo because why would they come here for?
If you keep all the downloads in house, E.G the forum then it is new people, if you post new videos on Youtube and say come to the forums to download that is fantastic, but if you send them to GH instead then we are losing the extra newbies to insult.
You can still contribute if you so wish, but why not just post that onto the forum, why GH?
Also just to add, for myself if I see a new thread being posted, then I read it and see it, so if for example I was using this theme, then I might not check GH for new themes, at least if everything is kept in house (forum) I would be notified of new things to download. GH I would not be.

ok, I understand your point of view.
I was just thinking about the participatory development side.
For a project as important as the yaron collection, it was for me the best solution. It's not a simple theme, but a complete collection that could still grow.
But I understand that it can generate problems.
Let's forget

I would wait and see what Yaron says, he might like the idea, he might not.
I just gave my point of view, but as it is not my theme, it has nothing to do with me, it is down to the theme creator.
It was good of you to ask first, rather than setting up a GH and not asking. So just see what Yaron says when he is on next.

when you run it with attract-console.exe, what do you see in the console?

Usually when the theme won't show up like that, there's a script error to be found in the log file (or console). From your video I see the important part, the script error:
"the index 'ReadTextFile' does not exist"
I'm not familiar with the specific issue, but I think ReadTextFile is part of the "file" module, which I think would normally be located in modules/file.nut. Maybe there is a problem with that module, or it isn't where it is expected to be.

That video doesn't show an attractmode install?
Even for attractmode+, you still need the base install of attractmode as attractmode+ is just two exe files (main and console) and nothing else.

You need to install the full AM/AM+ package and copy ontop of it the collection.
You can't use the collection as a standalone.

In fact the version beta works perfectly on my pc with AM but not AM+.

But I just have a question. In the favorite display I jaded fews Snes and gameboy games. The snes logo is displayed under the snap but not for the game boy game. Do you know how fix it?

You need to add the AM+ exe files to an existing AM installation.
This error means you do not have all the modules that come built-in AM. It has nothing to do with the collection.

During my test I haded too some Sega CD games. So all the system's logo are displayed expect the game boy. Do you know what?

If it's not a naming issue on your side I have no idea.
Check that all the names of the gameboy platform are the same as the gameboy logo png

I built attractplus with the latest code on Ubuntu. When I launch attractplus I see font warnings in the console like:
! NOTE: Relative path to BigSquareDots not provided. Font found in a subfolder. This may be slower.
Ran below commands from the ~/.attract directory:
find . -type f -name "*.otf"
find . -type f -name "*.ttf"
The theme has 109 *.oft and 70 *.ttf files. Looks like there's a lot of repeats too. I think it would be more efficient to create ~/.attract/fonts directory and place all of the font files there. Then update the layout.nut files with the relative path. For example I updated layouts/At-The-Arcade/layout.nut:
fe.layout.font = "fonts/BigSquareDots"
I moved the BigSquareDots.ttf from the layout directory into the new fonts directory and I no longer see the warnings.

Hi folks!
I need help with this fantastic theme because download link is dead both here and in the original thread (for the non AM+ version).
I tried the package kindly made available by PaCiFiKbAllA (http://forum.attractmode.org/index.php?topic=3289.msg30457#msg30457) but it does not work properly: some art graphics is not displayed (although it is physically present in the folders) and the whole "At the ARCADE" theme does not appear at all (blank screen). I tried both with "normal" Attract Mode 2.7.0 and the new AM+ 3.0.6, same result. Probably something is missing...
Could someone kindly post a download link of the complete theme package, possibly the updated version for AM+? Thank you so much!
