Themes / Re: Multi-layout that uses listbox or wheel via options.
« on: August 06, 2015, 10:07:05 AM »
Nah he'll share every thing eventually..I hid his token/quarter jar ;) No he will that is why he is doing it...but like every self critical artist he won't let it be seen unless he thinks it's perfect. Thus why his themes are awesome :)

I might have to try that omega. it might be easier. I was trying to build mine off of lubuntu just because I knew "it worked". I stripped out lxed and left openbox WM. I got it to work well..need to strip it down more though. It works well in a virtual setting so far. When I get a better set up I'll post a beta for testing.

Give me info on that you were using omega please.

General / Re: Parents roms only?
« on: August 05, 2015, 09:18:08 PM »
Yes you can fireslayer, if you have a filter set up. Well maybe not for parents per say. I have to admit I have not been very good with filtering rules myself. The filter rules are under display. That is press TAB then go to displays then go to mame/arcade then filter. I hope someone will come around and you more than I can. Just a side note remember some games can not be played as parents but the clone works fine.

Ray has been busy, but I have to admit that would be nice Raygun. I can not get that hotkey feature to work though seems like would be nice to use kega fusion. Full screen dies on esc with windows but not linux.

Thanks @akafox i have allready installed the Ubuntu 14.04 + AM .deb (thanks @akafox for the .deb)+ Mame 0.152

Glad it works for you. I made it because I don't want to compile..I'm lazy and I think everyone should be lazy with me :P

if i knew how to make an image to use on the i386 pc´s i woul do it and i´m goin to try by first i want to strip the linux (get rid off all the stuff that dosen´t need )

I understand and that is exactly what i am trying to do. so far i have eveything istalled and it will boot..but I managed to "cripple" the system enough so that i don't have control...i'm working on it :P It's not easy though at all. It will not be so bad once i understand it a little better.

Everithyng is working fine the only problem i have is the layouts some work but some others give me black screen the layout uis ther but dosen´t show anything the only one that works really well are the attracman and basic i think the problem is on the motherboard that has graphic  onboard could that be the reason why some loyouts dose´t work?

That depends on the layout sounds like a problem with the layout nut..could be easy to fix. While it might be due to your graphics but I can't say for sure. I actually have the same set up plugged into the TV in my living room so I can game and i don't have a problem with any of the "stock" layouts.

I am working on that. I have no idea when the image will be done though. If you don't want to compile try the linux deb on the download page. :)

Emulators / The Rules
« on: August 04, 2015, 06:08:12 AM »
First Rule: Absolutely no asking for roms. Any type of questions OR answers of that sort will be removed! Please understand this is not to be rude or mean in anyway. That is just how it is because it has to be that way.

How you get your roms is up to you. Use a search engine.

Second Rule: Try not to post "have you searched [for your problem]" or "love to help you but oh well sorry about your luck." That is not what this topic thread is for, it's to help others if you are not going to help...don't post.

Third Rule: Post your Computer info (cpu type, amount of ram, graphics card, and operating system) that will help us out A LOT.

The people that are helping are here to help..not do it for you. Please respect that. However knowing that you tried on your own first people will be more willing to help.

Again if you need specific info or you are having trouble with a emulator look on that emulators forum!

Last...emulation is not easy! It is a lot of hard work but the rewards are worth it! :)

General / Re: Linux Problem
« on: August 03, 2015, 09:08:00 PM »
I use linux to run AM. I'll help you out just ask. Glad you got it solved though! :) linux doesn't really have ".exe" (-es?) as for your executable just mame no path nothing just mame will work. You can do that with any program in the /usr directory as that is kind of a "holding place for them" so the OS looks there (and other places) first. If you have a program not in there say like kega fusion or epsxe...you can put a ./ before it (e.g. ./epsxe) to run it from the command line. That tells linux to run it as a executable not just open it to read as a file

General / Re: Attract-Mode and Kega Fusion
« on: August 02, 2015, 06:02:57 AM »
Yeah I know it's old..I hope it pops up as new (as reply). Ok So windows kega fusion is fine. I can use WINE in linux to run it yes but I lose performance so I really want to use native linux kega fusion. So for you peguins out there would you please test this for me..or am I the only one with this problem. I have searched yes..and I know that kega drops from full screen with the esc key when using that switch from the command line. Again works great in windows (like is should) but not linux anybody got any ideas? I have gens/g7 runs great. tried mess and retroarch get slow performance from both. Haven't tried osmoose yet...can't get it yo compile on a 32 bit system. medefen does sega consoles fine. It would just be nice to use kega that's all. Maybe i'll gripe on the forums there and someone will see it...

EDIT: I went to mednafen for sega master system. MESS will work also.
