General / So is this thing dead then?
« Last post by Guywiththegun on August 09, 2017, 03:27:06 PM »
No release since January and very few commits this year . .

Looked like big progress was being made with the addition of sub-menus but then we hit a wall. My cabinet feels incomplete and I think its because of the front-end.

I have to move on. Thanks for the great software, its just not 'there' yet. Hopefully progress picks up again and I'll revisit.

Fantastic work! This is an extremely well made layout! My only gripe is that the main menu has a limit of 25 platforms/systems and I was able to find in the .nut file where you can change this. However, when I change it to something like 7 local rows and 7 local cols, the highlighted place-holder (a yellow frame) for the chosen system is about 2 or 3 times too big and slightly out of position. Is there any way to correct this?

Scripting / Shell call to Attract Mode "exit emulator" function.
« Last post by JuRaSSiCBoY on August 09, 2017, 09:08:25 AM »
Hello and sorry If this is not the place to make this question I don't know exactly where to write it.

I've got an small script who is called from runcommand-onend.sh. This script is in python, and finishes with a call to "attract" from the shell, to return the user to Attract Mode. Here's the call:

subprocess.call('attract', shell=True)

I don't want to send the user to the Attract Mode, what I really want is to "exit the emulator" and send the user to where he was before the call. What is the shell call to "exit the emulator" on Attract Mode?

Thank you very much in advance for your help and time.

Happy to say, the theme is released. Please try it and give some advise.

CRT version is still WIP. Please wait  :)

As promised, here is my own personal attractmode build, using a customized version of the ol'room theme, along with some other custom stuff :) It's not a complete build and the video is a little bit low in quality, but it gives you a good, general idea of how attractmode utilizes platform categories. Thank you again to everyone who made this possible!

Is it possible to add your own HDMI modes? I want to run a VGA adapter and a 5:4 19" 1280x1024 monitor.
Also, did you ever add mame2003? It would be great to use this image for arcade games.

Thanks
