A good logo should be "background independent". If it looks good on light and dark background as well - that it is a big bonus.
That is the case with both logos (v5 and v7) that I consider as a potential keeper.

When we settle with one version - I'll add a nice background to make it a wallpaper or splash screen.
Of course I'll upload it as a transparent .png so anyone can put it on it's own wallpaper.

Looking good! Sorry id' be more into this if i had a clue of graphics design. So far as it stands I can keep my crayons in the lines now...that's as far as I gotten lol

Hi, both look great but I'm wondering if someone not familiar with Attract Mode would read Ver A as"Attract Modc" maybe?
What I'm saying is that the "e" very much looks like a "c" to me

Yea, I agree that this should be fixed.
But for now, I don't want to put more work in any version - until we choose one of them (if any).

Just want to say I officially like either of these over the ones I originally submitted so I do think one should be choosen as the "official" logo.

I know I pushed for the thick borders version - but I still like ver A. better I agree it would be nice to maybe change the font due to the 'e' but I like the way the mode is embedded into the attract. I've already used the first one of that version for a couple things  I'll give more feedback assuming you want it if you plan on doing more refinements once one is decided on.

This is how the 'e' can be fixed. Of course it will be incorporated in the same manner as the current one.

ok. my next steps with A version:

- update logo with fixed 'e'
- test logo against various backgrounds (white, black, busy photo/screenshot)
- add some variants with back shadow/glow/outline (if needed) to be more visible with busy background
- upload final version as transparent .png in standard and hi-res
