I approve!  =D

At the moment it would be quite easy to let the movies play while the video is on screen, and then stop them when it's off-screen, I think I'll have time to do some tests next week.

I switched to the Attract-mode Plus build and for whatever this problem is resolved for me.

It will definitely have a hit on performance...
But wow, that is an amazing idea to have all of the audios going at a background level.

Wow, great work!  There is a VERY significant performance boost on my machine.
Question - is it possible to get this to show all of the videos at the same time like the "grid" layout does?
This is so much more functional than that layout, but I have to admit I do like seeing all of the videos.  ; )

General / Desktop showing after launching game and when exiting...

Hello!
The windows desktop shows between the time I launch a game and the emulator runs.
It also shows between the time I exit the game and attract-mode takes over again.
I have it set to the default mode (fill).  I've tried all the modes.
Note that I am running windows in portrait mode.
Also, I see the blue spinny cursor in the lower right hand corner after launching a game, would love to make that go away...

General / Need to move layout UP

Hello!  Does anybody know a way to move/offset a layout vertically?
I have a 16:9 TV rotated vertically (portrait) orientation in my arcade cab.
About 40% of the screen is hidden (in the marquee area and below the control panel)
My problem is that the visible area of my screen is not centered on the TV, and attractmode appears to automatically center the layout vertically (when aspect ratio preserved), otherwise it is stretched to fill the whole screen.
I need to be able to vertically offset layouts in order to view them correctly. (move them up when centered)
Or I need to be able to specify the starting Y and height for the entire layout..
Is there a way to do this without having to get into the layout code and change a ton of stuff?

General / Horrible delay often after starting or exiting a game

Windows 10
When I launch a game from AM there is often (let's say 35% of the time) a horrible delay of 15 seconds to a minute where the screen is black and I see the spinny blue windows (something is happening) circle before MAME shows up.  Likewise, there is often the same very long type of delay after exiting a game waiting for AM to return.  Also a black screen with the spinny circle.  Doesn't matter what game it is... sometimes a game will work with no delay, and other times it won't.  Any ideas?  Thanks!!!!

General / [Help] Attract Mode moving to 2nd screen (marquee) after emulator exit

Hello!  I have my crt arcade monitor as my primary display running attract mode at 480i.  (note that windows identifies it as display #2, and I haven't figured out how to change that)
I have a 4:3 lcd screen hooked up for the dynamic marquee temporarily to get that functionality working while I wait for the marquee LCD to arrive.
Everything works fine (attract mode and game load on arcade monitor, marquee art displays on 2nd screen in attract mode and during emulation) - the issue is that when I exit the emulator attract mode then shows up on the marquee display and bumps the marquee over (instead of returning to the arcade monitor).
I don't really have any idea how to fix this.

Hello, should I be able to use this intro.nut in the plugins folder and get this to work currently?  I'm just looking for AM to play a random intro video at startup.  I tried the plugin by itself and couldn't get it to work.
Otherwise I will make an autohotkey script to rename a video in my intros folder to intro.mp4 at random.
