General / new ported theme's ideas wanted

that would be inspiring for AM to mimic or be enhanced.

was quickly inspirerd by qqplayers idea of a vertical grid theme,

could be so mutch more with styling , alpha animated shading , ext.......

how to add a custom loading screen for every game that you have..

at some point we have all wanted a custom loading screen..
so when i saw the plugin for this i thought..ok
but one only!  common relay......

OK so this was trial an error,  but i found out how to

thanks to "Keilmillerjr's" plugin

#1 steps..  goto "sticky" modules and plugin gallery
download "fadetogame plugin"

#2 put in "plugins" folder

#3 open AM & "tab" "plugin" enable plugin.nut ,,save & exit

#4 goto "plugins folder" now edit "plugin.nut ,, edit this line to....

shade = fe.add_artwork("title", 0, 0, fe.layout.width, fe.layout.height); 

#5 goto "scraper" folder add new folder with system name ie: snes
in this folder add , "newfolder" > title

#6 in the new folder "snes > title" add your custum loading screen pic
and name it just like you would for snaps or videos  ie: Contra III - The Alien Wars.png

done, now when you start game it will show your custom loading screen for that game...

notes: in the plugin menu u can change the start time,,and exit time
now u need to set this to your prefrence
mine is.

to game run time       3000
from game time         500

ie: 3 sec
ie: 1/2 sec

Scripting / .charsize over_rides animation ?

so in a text list animation...
as soon as i enable "list.charsize = font_size;"
it breaks the "scale"animation.

with it disabled it works fine,,butt it is way the wrong size
that i need.

?how would one set the defalt charsize maybe in a different manner so
it would work..

it seems that when using,

it works as intended, no vid noise,,  but after launching a game and exiting,  you can here the video playing
till you move to new selection, up ,down-then it go's quiet again.

any one have a fix for this?

ArcadeSD theme

1.must have latest AM 2.2.1 build

2.must have latest carrier.nut in your "modules" folder. 
included in theme

3.for the theme to run super smooth..take and resize all your
 snaps and wheel art with "FSResizer" so their will be no moore
 AM errors to load..png's

 all your other themes will also run better to!
included in theme
4.theme is set to use snaps, & wheel art
 to change music just change the "music.mp3" in the theme

i love this theme ,,it works great on pc,,
butt for some reason cant get the star.nut to
work on the pie3 witch is why i was making this
so that sucks..  if any one can help make it
happen this would be great.http://

hay all... was wondering if any one has seen this...

in the romlist folder  ie: you have a "snes" .txt file that is scraped..with all the usual name, year

but now i have some folders in that file that say "snes" "sega" and in these folders are

game name.cfg files,   hear is one of them

overview Tetris is a Puzzle game, developed and published by Bullet Proof Software, which was released in Japan in 1988.

how did i get this?
is their a magictokin to call this file?

it's pretty cool im wondering if i dragged it out of one of my pi images  ,,but im on pc when i found it
testing some other stuff

Maximus Arcade  "Display_menu"

in this  new theme iv tried to
recreate the MaximusArcade experience
but with added controls


1.toggle music on off //  with a folder to put your own music file in

2. add scanlines on off

3. choose background // too to choose from.

4. text on off // yousing the classic maximus font..ALBAS_.TTF

5. choose 3 different arrows,

set your controls left and right ,,,for best results
