Scripting / Vertical movement Animation on Grid?

Currently in My theme Nescia X live, I use horizontal mode as the default because getting the animations and stuff to work properly in vertical mode dont seem to be going well for me!

Iv managed to get the placement and everything mostly working, however I now have the issue of when going to "next_page" the animation dose not trigger it only triggers when going to "next_game"
Same with previous Page/GAME So I need to find a way to cause the trigger so also happen when going to next page/pervious page so it works correctly

This has nothing to do with the Attract Mode theme (which looks cool) but your swappable control panels. I LOVE that idea. I wanted to do that for my Taito cabinet but abandoned the idea when I discovered that I'd have to rewire the coin mechs (I don't use buttons to replicate coin drops, only the real thing). However, seeing your rack of control panels makes me want to revisit the Molex idea where I wire a Ultimarc control board to a female end and then attach a male end to each of the control panels. Either that or do a smaller Molex for the coin mechs and then just mount a dedicated control board to each control panel and then go USB to the PC.

Which method do you use?

While i dont know why you would go with an ipac since its keyboardbased, when most people these days thanks to xpadder use joystick input boards that being said for connecting ALOT of controls like that id recommend one of the following

Make each panel terminate to a jamma harness that then connects to a male end that connects tot the ipac inside
or
Make each panel terminite to a IDE 40pin connector that then connects to a male IDE that inturn is wired to the ipac

Going molex route means you would have upwards of 10 connectors to connect/disconnect and that be a pain in the ass


For me Id go with usb based solution since you can get cheap usb encoders for 10bucks, id have one permanently inside the machine for coin test service then place 1 each per CPO so the only connect/disconnect when changing pannels would be a single usb cord

i don't think this quite answers the Question,,,,      .....i know this....but can it default to a "video"?      not a .png         any one...   Thanks.
It fully answers the question any unfound artwork will default to whatever is in the layout folder this includes video so if your "video" art is snap
fe.add_artwork("snap" 0.0.0.0)
then when the snap is not found it will play the video titled snap,mp4 ect.

it appears any swf file that rotates an image in 3d causes attract mode to crash, howver xy animations seem to work fine

yeah, I don't think this is happening...

Write it yourself if your unhappy. It doesn't look too hard to make if you understand the conveyor module. I have spent a decent amount of time on perfecting my one single theme. I don't know how Kent has the time to do as many themes as he has.
I think he was referring to the lack of news or updates in such a long time rather then writing the theme

Iv asked this question before with lackluster results but adding swf content via add_image has always crashed my AM

What type of swf files work for you guys are they 120 fps? 60 fps also what flash version was it published in 9,10.3,10.2,10.1 ect

Well, all of the games that have been released for ttx on PC the only titles that havsnt been leaked are NEsica X live titles what the theme is based off of so on any pc right now you could enjoy a full unemulated version of all TTX/TTX2 and some of the TTX3  Titles


what taito did was make a custom io on windows pcs what is needed is a JVS IO to keyboard coverter  this can be done in software

So normal Pc the typx_loader makes  a fake com device and hooks it to keyboard controls but if you have a real ttx with the real io....the games dont even have a Sercity check they only look for the

correct io  So instead of starting them with the bat files thats in every ttx release you can just click game.exe and they load prefectly

The nesicaXlive titles data haven't been public avilablely so Cant say how they work, the titles in my artwork that are on nesica x live, i currently use the steam pc release on the cab



ALSO should mention that the Real TTX games you find with a dongel beacuse the harddrives are locked, so they wont run with out the hasp key, so its not a lock on the game but the disc itself

because funny en ought people have made the other end of the spectrum in the since of something that takes a real ttx jvs io and makes it a keyboard
