AM Basic display runs very slow on bananapi
« on: February 14, 2018, 02:58:30 PM »
I've disabled video stuff so I don't think it is a graphics driver. Even with just the basic display (which should only need to redraw the screen once) it takes 2-3 seconds for screen to update after any keypress.

CPU utilization is only about 13% until keypress then it shoots to 100% momentarily.

Maybe it's a disk speed issue? Trying to recompile with optimization 3. Next I'll try a profiler to figure out where it's spending time.

Any ideas are appreciated. Thanks, Clark

sounds to me like sfml isn't using the b-pi's gpu.
