Emulators / Re: How do I add PCSX2 to Attract Mode
« on: December 19, 2019, 05:42:54 AM »
Not sure what I'm doing wrong, and I think I've tried a few dozen different ways, but I can't get pcsx2 to work. I've used the configuration progets mentioned but the screen flashes for a second and returns to AttractMode. Any tips or ideas?

Great looking theme! I think I'd replace the image of the NES system with the boxart of each corresponding game-name instead, but that's probably more of a personal preference  :D

It's been a really long time since the original/initial post. I wonder if Oomek is still working on this? ;D

I do not understand why I have different weight in the executable  ???

I have observed the code and it is , is daily.

What I don't understand is because the weight is different.

Post edited.

I was wondering about that too. Also, why did you post a photo of the Linux version?

The last build of the daily compilation is ->> 01/19/2019

Maybe I have to enable the libcurl compilation

Really? I always thought those were automatically building from the (updated) source on a daily basis, hence the "daily" in the title.

Hi guys

I have compiled the last source for Windows from here ->> https://github.com/mickelson/attract

I share the download link ->> https://mega.nz/#!ZJ9yFSQL!Cjs36m8njL8dziLJ1mqyCiiC6fkf_Ytc3Rh2oB6PqoQ

Greetings  :)

Just wondering, how is this one different than the daily build available on the original post?

Themes / Re: Genesis Mini theme, preview

Very nice! It would be great if this could be used with other systems. For example, you could simply replace the Sega Genesis logo (on the top middle) with whichever platform/system is being used. Or, is that already possible with this theme? And instead of the game's info, it would be cool if you could have a screenshot or video preview of the selected game. Just hoping for this, because I rarely look at the game's info ;D

Unfortunately there wasn't much I could do with that .psd file since all of the artwork is merged together in one layer. But thank you for sharing anyways, and it definitely gives me some ideas

Takoni, this is great! I've worked with similar themes but I really like the way you captured the lighting and various atmosphere-aspects of the room in your layout. I was just wondering if it's possible to share the artwork source, if it's available in .psd (photoshop)? I'd just like to edit a few things in the room, as I'm not really a fan of some of the decorations. But overall, this is extremely great work ;D

Scripting / Re: Now Loading - Plugin

It's been working fine for me so far without any glitches, although I've only tried using it with retroarch though.

Very nice! If you made similar themes for other handheld systems (gba, lynx, etc.) that would certainly be fantastic :D Thank you for sharing!

This is really helpful! Thank you very much for sharing, as I never knew such a plugin existed. But I'm wondering, besides being more suitable for older systems, slower processors, etc. are there any benefits of using SSF over the Saturn core within Mednafen/Retroarch?

That's a pretty neat plugin! Just wondering, how can I make the image full screen? (1920x1080)

Update: Oops! I figured it out fairly easily enough  ;D

But what would be really nice is if you could change the image, based on which system or game is being loaded

Yeah,  the images are currently 640x480 ... though they can be swapped out for larger images or you can just scale the smaller sized images.  Just change the images to whatever you wish and then inside the plugin there are size settings.  I "may" adjust the code to allow for size entry from within the front end settings... not sure yet.

To be 100% honest,  this already does EXACTLY what I was looking for it to do (but with 10 different skins)... so I am not sure if I will investigate in to how to add different images for different systems.  It certainly SHOULD be possible...

Right now I need to figure out how to NOT interrupt the intro animation... again... no big deal for me as I don't run an intro animation,  but I am sure some folks do and this pretty much kills it by sticking the LOADING screen dead center while it plays...

I certainly agree with your approach, in that it's better to keep things simple. But if the plugin for this is similar to the way the code works for themes, then it should definitely be possible. Also, this would make a lot of users happy, especially those who rely on rocketlauncher for their loading screens. Actually, I tried to change the code with this plugin by adding a folder and adding [emulator] in the line where the image rests, but totally failed, at least for now :o

Those themes look quite good! I really like how you got the clock to work in real time too  ;D Great work!
