I don't know... For me this all SBC makes sense if the small size or low power is a HUGE factor. If not - you can buy used intel CPU + mini ITX motherboard + cpu + cooler + case for the same price and get much more performance per dollar while still being pretty small.

That is if you trust someone with your designs.

I design mainly websites - so I don't have a problem with trusting the coder with my design "execution".
And because it's not a paid gig - there is no risk really
It's better to fail while coding a design than having a perfect design lying in a drawer.

good to see you guys who've made a lot of contributions like Verion and fox still fighting the good fight

I've gave up my coding efforts and focused only on design... but I couldn't find any coders willing to code my designs. Or to be precise - a few has tried but gave up half-way in.

So sadly - I'm thinking about moving my arcade emulation to my nvidia shield - and that means, no AM

I've lost all hope after the NEO GEO mini. I was hoping for a bartop cab that will be pricey - but high quality. NEO GEO was always for me a synonym of "well worth the (high) price". Until that toys'r'us mini-monstrosity was brought to life.

Too bad that it continues the trend of putting (too) small screens into this "mini" builds. I know it supposed to be smaller - but not if the cab could easily fit a bigger screen.

I've wrote about this when NEO GEO mini was announced - they could easily fit 5" screen in the same cabinet - but opted to use tiny 3.5"

The same story with ASTRO CITY. Or even worse - because they've used small screen, and on top of that - it's not even 4:3 screen. It's 16:10 !!!

This is how the initial design looked like.
All graphics are imported directly from this.
AM over-blowed the greens significantly.

I have to tone down the overlays. AM tends to over-bright the images - at least compared to how it looks in Photoshop. It really is too much especially with that bright greens. I'll get to it in this weekend.

#1 and #2 is more flexible - as it's just a bg and you can put any text here
#3 has to be tailored to the exact stats/info you want to present

What info do you think is needed? Personally - I don't need any or maybe a play counter.
