Title: MAME not Working with AM

This started with MAMEUI64 a few versions ago.

I run AM and I choose a game. It goes to desktop and creates a transparent window and opens MAME but it doesn't run the game.

I can use the desktop and MAME fine but AM is frozen. Task manager to close MAME and then AM goes back to normal.

I checked my MAME and I check my antivirus. Nothing. All files are not "read only".

Windows 7 Pro x64

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Please post your mame config in AM.
This is my config:

this way:
start AM > press TAB key > Emulators > choose your emulator-system

or
after adding an emulator-system, the config-file is found here (open it with editor):
your_attract_folder\emulators\your_emulator.cfg

Another thing check in your general settings at your window mode..

that is:
1. Press TAB
2. goto general
3. go to window mode
4. press enter
5. use up and down keys to set it to fullscreen
6. press enter
7. go to back and pres enter
8. try a game

I say try this because you say mame works fine..loads a game and all right? but yes if that does not solve your problem hermine.potter is correct. We need to see your attract mode configuration file please.

I tried changing it to Fullscreen but it didn't make a difference.

So this is what I do from the start:

Open AM
Hit ENTER to choose game.
MAMEUI64 opens up.
Doesn't open the game selected.
I close MAMEUI64 and it goes to AM.

I'm not sure what changed or if I changed something.

I've downloaded mameui from here (http://www.mameui.info/)
this config works to me on my testsystem (Win7 x64 ; AM 2.2.1 x86 ; Mameui v.186)

Nothing has made any changes.

I'm not sure what else to do.
