Title: Filter by year not working

Hi All,

I am using Attract as a front end to MAME on Ubuntu Mate.

There are a lot of games in the Mame rom list so I thought I would separate them by year and create a display for each with a filter by year. When I do this however none of the games appear.

I altered the global filter on the new display and used 'Year equals 1980' then I tried 'Year contains 1980' - both return no results.

I thought that this might be due to the year field not being populated in the roms list that was created by the Generate Colletion/Romlist so I tried to find this file. According to the About section on the website this should be a file in the romlists directory - however I cannot find this directory on my system!!

Any help would be appreciated.

I got it figured people  8)

I didn't realise the attract install folder is hidden in my home folder.

I was correct in my assumption that the year field was not populated.

I downloaded a program called LightSpeed MameLister via ArcadeControls.com that allowed me to export a custom rom list in Attract format that included all of the game fields. The program is for windows so I had to us a USB stick to import it to my linux box.

I don’t need a seperate program to populate yield field for mame. Hmmm... ????
