Post by: toothlessgrinn on January 03, 2019, 07:43:05 AM

took me over a year but finally figured out how to work groovy and it works beautifully EXCEPT....

after 10 to 20 min my screen goes to sleep...
how the F... do i stop that???
i found a work around for arch but it DOES NOT work for groovy..

any one got any ideas?? PLEASE!!!

THANKS.

funny how all this arcade stuff you find on line and its all 10 to 15 years old... and noone is updating majority of the stuff???
as popular as arcades are right now their should be an abundance of updated info....... but nope.... (ok sorry rant over) lol

Is the computer not sending video signal, or is it sending a black picture?

Groovy Arcade uses arch Linux, so maybe check out some stuff mentioned in their guide here: https://wiki.archlinux.org/index.php/Display_Power_Management_Signaling

ya its funny i was just about to post my findings and seen your reply. i was just on that site about an hour ago and found the solution im posting it for maybe if someone else ever runs into this problem.

***If you want to set the BlankTime permanently, you can add the following lines to the /etc/X11/xorg.conf.

Section "ServerFlags"
    Option "BlankTime" "0"
EndSection

That’s it.***

but my monitor would go blank after 10 to 20 min weather i was in game or not. but this FIXED IT!
guess im getting a crash coarse in linux now lmao!!!

thanks though for at least replying to me keilmillerjr !! you seem to be one of the most willing to help on here!

HAPPY NEW YEAR EVERYBODY IN ATTRACT LAND!!
