Title: Mupen64 crashing

I'm a newbie at this, but mupen64 is working on its own, and the directories are correct, the ROM file the is, even the ROM locations, but anytime I go to play a game (super Mario 64 specifically) it crashes, no error report, and goes back to attract mode, which counts that crash as a playtime event. I'm on an atom cpu, 4gb of ram, windows 7 32bit, mupen64 is version 0.5.1, and attract mode is version 2.6.1. mupen works on its own, but doesn't play nicely with attract more for some reason, any tips I could get would be amazing! Thanks in advance!

In the console it says it has an error running the emulator, and then loses focus to explorer.exe <3832>

are you able to start Mupen64 from commandline/cmd or a batch file?
