Title: ROMS (game) won't launch

I have MAME and all its 'parts' installed on my Mac. Everything appears to be fine. I can configure Attract and load all the ROM's. Attract launches fine and lists all ROM's. When I select one the Attract screen (Pacman) pauses for a moment and then animates again (nothing happens).

Also, the ROM (game) 1942 is the only ROM that shows game images. Coincidence?

I can think of a few reasons.

1. Permissions issues with roms or images

2.  Emulator settings need to be changed... wrong paths, etc

3. Bad romset for the emulator

4. In the case of images, perhaps the images are not named the same as roms whatever.png should match whatever.zip

First, I would try to launch some roms directly in your emulator, outside of AM. If that works then likely its a paths or permissions issue.

You can post your emulator settings here if you'd like. I have a copy of AM installed on one of my Macs, so I've got an idea of what they should look like.

Some basic settings. Pretty sure they're correct. Should I put an explicit path?

Tried to run in the terminal as well, for a second will see a "Loading Machine 0%" modal. Then get the error attached.

I cracked open the .zip and the files are in fact there.

Try using the full path instead of $HOME. Also check permissions.
