Title: pcsx2 doesn't resume attract mode, stays open

I tried using the pcsx2 setting from the wiki, it launches the game fine when I remove the nogui and fullscreen args. But when I exit the emulator sits there and if I was relying on my joystick once the arcade is finished being setup then it will be stuck there indefinitely. Is there anyway to get it to close? Is there a specific version of pcsx2 that this argument was designed for? I tried development Qt and WX for SSE4 (sandy bridge cpu on my arcade). With the arguments there pcsx2 doesn't boot the game and spits me back into attract mode.
