Title: Font Issues

When I start attract mode all the menu items are blocks.

To fix I have tried:

in the config:
-specified the font path directly: c:\windows\fonts\
-changed default_font to verdana, then back to arial after that didn't work
-verified that the arial font does exist.

from the command line:
I ran:
attract.exe --font arial
attract.exe --font comic (still blocks, but when i pressed ESC to exit the exit text was in the comic font and I could read that.

I'm running this on windows xp sp3. Any help would be great, thanks!

Backup your current attract.cfg and start fresh see if it fixes the issue.

It was a display driver issue.
