I am pretty sure Cools made one.

I'm thinking of one for my 4 way vertical build but have not yet made it a theme.
It will be based around the phoenix arcade game and once I settle on a final game list I'm going to download sprites for some of the more well known games and incorporate them.

But I'm working on getting the cabinet built right now.

But if I understand correctly the themeing process you could just grab the background image from just about any front end out there and tell attractmode where to put the list, images and info for a basic theme.

Not sure about wheel themes, may take some editing of the background image.

Someone made an awesome layout for vertical games. Any idea where to find the layout?  :)

It's distributed in the frontend already!

Ok I must be doing something wrong in setting up mame in AM. Can someone please post a pic of what the attract mode (mame) configuration file looks like so I can get a idea of what I'm doing wrong. I would greatly appreciate it.

Code: [Select]
# Generated by Attract-Mode 1.4.0
#

args                 [name]
rompath              C:/Games/Emulation/Roms/Mame
romext               .zip;.7z
info_source          mame
import_extras        C:/Games/Emulation/Emu/Mame/Catver.ini;C:/Games/Emulation/Emu/Mame/nplayers.ini
artwork    flyer
artwork    logo            C:\Games\Emulation\Media\Mame\logo
artwork    marquee         C:\Games\Emulation\Media\Mame\marquee
artwork    snap            C:\Games\Emulation\Media\Mame\Video_MP4_HI_QUAL;C:\Games\Emulation\Media\Mame\snap

You can do the config from the menu if you want, although initial setup is sometimes easier to do in the config...

Thank you so much. :D I got it working! For some reason my mame file was all screwed up I had to manually configure it in notepad. But now I'm getting an error when I quit a game and try to start another I get this message "failed to create direct3d device" then mame starts in a separate small window. Any ideas what might be causing this? :(

You might be getting a conflict between OpenGL and Direct3d.  Attract-Mode uses OpenGL for graphics, and the newest version of Mame (160 I believe) now has a setting to use OpenGL instead of direct3d.  You could try switching MAME to OpenGL to see if that fixes your problem...

as in post #4 it's included with am,   just look in your layouts folder for "Verticools"
