Themes / Artwork not showing up when using Hyperspin themes

I've set up Hyperspin themes for individual games as per this post: http://forum.attractmode.org/index.php?topic=565.msg4216#msg4216
The issue is that none of the artworks in the theme show up. I'm pretty certain that the theme is actually being loaded, since the videosnaps show up and they're animated as per the theme xml, but everything else is just black.
