I'm having a similar problem.

I have about 6 Windows shooters in a list. Crimzon Clover, works fine no probs every time.

All the others AM stays on top, some don't even run. Screen flashes once and that's it...

I had the same problem last week except it pretty much happened every time. It was the defeault.cfg file though rather than mame.imi so all my controls were resetting them. I opened another window on my second monitor and watched when I exited Mame the.cfg go to a 0k file.

It was driving me nuts. In the end I bit the bullet and reinstalled Mame into a different folder and copied my AM stuff over and haven't had the problem since. I thought it might be something to do with the fact i was installing a default mame then overwriting the .exe with a nonag patched one. I thought it might be a bit wonky.

Touch wood it's not happened since but my Mame was doing it with or without being called by AM

General / Xpadder quirk with AM config menu

Hi guys, looking for a bit of help. Long time Hyperspin user but was looking for something more modern to set up on my new rotating shmup setup and here I am.

Have set everything up fine and all is good, however yesterday I started to expand beyond MAME and set up the Japanese Touhou Project bullet hell shooters. All nice and simple.

However, in order to control them I have to use Xpadder to translate my fightstick joystick to the keyboard arrow keys. Again, all set up no probs.

However in Attract Mode now that Xpadder is catching my up and down joystick movements on the menus weirdly in the config menus it is jumping two items at a time. It doesn't do it on the game lists, just when I Tab into config.

I'm an Xpadder noob but I can't see anything in it's setup that might help. Also, you don't seem to be able to remap the direction keys in the Touhou games.

Any ideas?
