Do you have the rom path set in MAME's mame.ini file? When you use HyperSpin the mame.ini file is sent from RocketLauncher and it's completely different than the one in your MAME emulator folder.

Another option is to just use RocketLaucher with Attract-Mode since you already have it setup for HyperSpin.

There is the solution, guess I didn't realize, i still needed to set the rom path within the Mame ini as hadn't had to do that with other frontends.

OK so back home and had a chance to play with things a little. But still a bit confused.

Firstly I am using the exact same mame version and romset that Hyperspin uses and all games launch without an issue, but now I've removed AM and started again.

This time Asteroids will now launch but I still have various games that wont launch via AM but will launch with Hyperspin.

The romset is fine as mentioned previously all works in Hyperspin no problem.

OK so taking a look at the command window I see....

*** Running path to mame64.exe Asteroid
035145-0fe.ef2 not found (tried in asteroid asteroid)
Then similar not founds for more files
Fatal Error Required files are missing, the game cannot be run.

So it appears to be not finding the roms, even though the rom path must be correct surely for it t have created the rom list.

Yep run from mame, using same ROMs/mame.exe as been using with Hyperspin.

Sorry this is probably something simple but I new to attract mode. I've searched around and haven't been able to find an answer to my problem.

I'm using windows 10 and have the path's set up to my mame64.exe and my roms all correct. Attract mode has created the database and the games are listed correctly but whenever i choose a game the screen just flash's and nothing happens.

Any ideas?
