Ok, I've done some reading and fiddling with my arcade monitor, and it clearly hates anything beyond 15khz horizontal refresh. I think that means the best options for a UI resolution are going to be 640x240, or 960x240. I'm not sure what I need to mess with in the .nut file to get it to work on those resolutions and scale the horizontal properly.

(Current definition of cranky is that it just shows the snap video in the background and has a text list of games)

Thanks for any tips you have.

I love this theme. Any tips on getting it to work properly on a 15khz arcade monitor? Non-standard resolutions make it cranky.

From the image, what is missing is the wheel graphics and snap video for those games. If scraping again doesn't get them, you can search for the rom name and wheel or snap and find the files manually, and then drop them into the appropriate folder in attract/scraper.

That would work if all I wanted was Mac portable. I've got multiple versions of MAME, and multiple attract modes already working for PC, and I want to add Mac compatibility. Pretty sure it's feasible, Macs support indirect file references. It will take moving the config folder, running the program with a script that allows command line options that tell it to point to the local folder.

I don't really need it, but at this point I'm just stubborn.

I found that shortly after I posted, thanks. I think I can get it to do what I want.

The next thing I'm messing with is trying to make both the OSX version of MAME and Attract Mode portable, so that it can all run out of a single folder or flash drive. If anyone has tips on the best way to accomplish this, I'd appreciate it.

I'm looking for a way to duplicate my display and filter setup from the PC version to the Mac version, but I can't locate the corresponding file on the OS X side. Can that be done? Thanks.
